Cozy, nice place to stay in Barcelona! The atmosphere is very relaxing and friendly, like you are staying at your own house! Location is great, close to Urgell subway station and 10 minutes walk to the Rambla. There are few very nice bars and food shop around. The breakfast is nice and you still can have all breakfast food through all day, also the kitchen is available if you want to cook some food for the dinner. Rooms and bathroom was clean and very cozy. Staff was very friendly! Thank you so much!
I've been hosted very well by all the staff in there. Really felt like an old friend, like I've never felt anywhere else before. The hostel has a great location, safe, clean n well designed. Thank all the staff.

Location is great, near Urgell metro station. Staff is great too, very kind owner and his assistent, they helped us a lot with advice and ideas for evening activities in Barcelona, and talked a lot with us which was great for improving our spanish. The rooms are big and tastefully furnished. I liked the shared bathroom (big shower cabin). Our room had a nice big doors to the balcony facing the street. Breakfast was fine and you could use coffe/food/kitchen through all day. There was also fresh fruit available all the time. The owner himself also prepared us special breakfast twice with ham and eggs and a hamburger.

Nice location, family atmosphere because it used to be an apartment but the landlord used it to accommodate travellers. The belongings of the apartment stay there, feeling welcomed and trusted.
The owner could speak very little English only.

Havier was very friendly helping to resolve all problems. The placement is convenient. Breakfast is good in terms of "continental breakfast", for example, there are 6 sorts of jam and a lot of fruits, but no fried eggs with bacon :). We felt like guests at our friend home, alive and interesting.
The building isn't new, there were some problems with water, but kind and friendly owner tried to resolve all our problems

Location is great!Close to the center.and the interior is nice.
In one room instead if 2 people lived 6!and after them it was impossible to use the bathroom. And the ate all it was made for breakfast.we recommend the owners of this hostel to check how many people exactly live in the room.
The location is good,close to urgell and rocafort metro stations. The owner is friendly, helpful and reliable. He served generously. My room was quite big by the window and it had a small balcony.
The bathroom was sometimes a bit dirty.

Horrible way of welcomming, I had to call the bell for more than 15 times and young boy came out and told that intercomn is not working. There was 15 more minutes wait for getting the room ready. And room was ok. Later no body was there from staff till check out. Breakfast is soooo basic. I will reccomand it if some one is in barcelona for one night on business trip, if you want to go for vacations to barcecolna, it is not right place for u

Very poor cleanness, dirty surroundings, kitchen and WC look terrible at all, owner and staff do not speak English and are quite rude also do not provide any useful information.
It was really nice to have those big jugs of drinking water available in the lobby (since you have to pay for bottled water everywhere) along with snacks. It was close to a metro and inexpensive compared to most places in Barcelona.
Since you're going with inexpensive here, you can't expect too much. The room was tiny and could barely fit our luggage. Some travelers who came in after us apparently booked a reservation and then was told there was no room. It was also very hard to communicate with the "staff" which I found surprising for a hostel. And, almost a month after our stay and after I had paid, I was charged over $1,600 usd out of nowhere! As a student this is really upsetting.
I would highly not recommend the hotel. In the room they gave me - there were lots of bedbuds! Just luckily I noticed them immediately, before leaving for the whole day... Also the staff said, that they know (!) about this problem in the room but still try to rent it to guests!
Budget accomodation in walking distance to Rambla. Nothing more.
HBCN Rooms withdrew money from my card account in two folds more than needed. To return it back I had to write them several times and claimed to letsbookhotel.com. It took 1 month to get it back. No A/C but mention in the hostel description.

The room was small but clean. You can use all (sharing) facilities but it is completely unclear what you can use for F.E. breakfast and not. No explanation in English and no possibility to raise questions.

There is no sign on dors showing that this is a hostel. I stood outside and thought- I mixed smth. It felt that it is somehow illegal place - just apartment which is separated in rooms. Neighbors did not know that there is hostel. My room didn't had a window, moreover It was full with cigarette smoke - owner smokes inside the apartment! It felt that they don't change the sheets! Breakfast was really small just bread with jam and coffe! They don't speak English.
No hot water en the shower had no pressure and was cold. Rooms very noisy. Smoking inside the apartement by the owner.Breakfast was sparse. We went to the baker shop arround the corner to buy fresh bread. The price is very low but you do not get anything iether. No view. The childeren were on a differnt floor than us in the same house.
there were some cakes and fruits like banana, kiwi etc. at the common area of the floor.
the air conditioner was not in the room. they mention about the a.c. which is in the common area. the water bottles are empty, in the common area, so the water machine had no meaning. the room was not cleaned during 3 days we stayed. the towels are not clean. we noticed that we slept with small insects on our bed while we were leaving. as we arrived home, we directly put our clothes to the balcony to clean the insects

Terrible matrace, we were sleeping in the middle on each other. Administrator didn't speak english. Breakfast - what? That couldn't be named like that - there was almost nothing to eat. Bathroom was dusty and I don't know if that was clean - I was afraid of it. Never again.
We have to change room during our visiting. They don't change our towels. There is no air condition, only hole in the wall with tube (so you can't set needed temperature). It is dirty at sone floors.
