We stayed in the huge attic apartment on the 7th floor of a fantastic old building. The location is central for sightseeing, shopping and eating. There is a terrace with table and chairs overlooking other rooftops, ideal in morning and evening. We arranged to meet a member of staff at an agreed time as there is no reception. We loved our stay and would love to return. Location. The apartments are situated next to Plaça de Catalunya - your city hub. Metro stop is right below and you'll are next to very nice El Born and Barrio Gotico areas. Las Ramblas street is not far too. Our apartment and bathroom were nice and clean and the kitchen was good too. We were welcomed by Virginia and all here advices for our 3-day visit were great.
all reviews » The friendly staff. You want to talk to the staff in advance to your arrival and schedule a meeting time as G and G rooms has no reception at the entrance of the building. The apartment is family friendly and located in famous Barcelona Gottic Square in that you would love to stay. Extremely clean and very spacious. Check in/out was easy even though manager was not on site (although always accessible). We spent a lot of time on the terrace and would book again for this feature alone. Location was excellent and beds were comfortable. The location was great - a short walk to the hip Born neighborhood. There were many restaurants and bars in the area as well. The bed was probably the most comfortable that I've ever slept on. owners Oriol and his girlfriend were really great helping us out and great location of the appartment in the heart of the old town. airport shuttle, metro, Ramblas,... all very near. The apartment was spacious. Terrace was big and furnished. The apartment was clean, but a little shabby. The location was excellent in the old town. Very good location, nice room and facilities, very good value. Beautiful, minimalist room with large windows on 2 sides. Perfect location and spacious elegant rooms. Location ! Location! Location!. Central location. Spacious. The noise from the traffic. Second bedroom was hot at night. No complaints whatsoever. However, take notice: these are apartments, not hotel, so nobody will come fix your bed. Also, our room was street side and Via Laietana road is quite noisy, though we didn't have any problem sleeping.. The noise from the road, but it did not bother us much. Lacking basic kitchen things like hand soap and dishtowels. The coffee maker was not the appropriate size for the stove and therefore unable to use. Internet connection was not very good, but adequate for basic tasks. Credit card machine did not process American credit card, had to pay in cash. This is not a fancy place but for the cleanliness, price and location you can't beat it!. The obvious downside to being close to everything is the noise level. Luckily this was only loud from 1-3 am. The second bedroom air conditioner was´nt working, so it could not be used. Fortunately, the living room was a decent sofa bed. Traffic was quite hard, but this is normal in big cities. Water in the bathroom was not good - too slow and very difficult to adjust the shower to keep the water warm. Stove had only one burner working. None. Nothing this place was amazing. The fact that your private bathroom is not adjacent to the room (it's up the hall); the (free) coffee was terrible; there was no carpet or rug on the floor. Some difficulty in contacting owner. Instructions about telephoning on arrival would have been helpful. WiFi only worked in one area of the room. Not dislike but could use some curtains to cut off noise and cold drafts, would be good to be able to change tv channels into English. Kitchen lacked a kettle and there was no hob. I had to microwave water to make tea as I did not want to pay 1 euro for the instant machine each time. We could only really self cater breakfast. The bathroom is not ensuite as requested. It is a private bathroom but outside of the room. Extremely noisy even with all doors / windows closed Air Conditioning did not work Kitchen in poor condition / old Accommodation lacked character and more expensive than others have stayed in Barca.
