The staff were extremely helpful and accomodating in every way they could. The room was very clean and the Hotel is very modern especially the lobby. The free mini bar for water and minerals is an excellent addition especially when thirsty in the warm heat. The staff were friendly and helpful. Some of the reception staff spoke good english and the others still tried to communicate and understand my very limited Spanish.

Its done up in the new since my last stay. Although the hotel was good for the shopping it was quite a distance from the main tourist centre which was not clear on the hotel site. The breakfast room personnel could have been more friendly. Street noise may bother some, though I don't know if all rooms facethe street.Breakfast had a good choice but the scrambled egg looked very poor and the bacon and sausage was undercooked. Petty commission the taxi driver charged over and above all actual charges for driving us back to the airport on behalf of the hotel, which somehow left a bad after-taste.For a short stay the location may be a problem as it's not the most centrally located. it would be better if WiFi internet was there. Overall teh hotel was very quiet but the wooden floors in the bedrooms were a problem when women with high heels came in late and night and made a lot of noise walking back and forth in adjoining rooms. No Bar and No room or snack service. It is a little far away, you have to be prepared to walk. There was a smell of smoke in our room on arrival - not apleasant welcome!. Not a dislike, but it would have been more helpful to have a folder detailing hotel services and perhaps those in the local area, rather than the postcard with basic details. The hotel was expensive (not helped by the exchange rate) for what it offered. At this price, and given its location at a distance from the Old Town, I would debate whether I would use it again when I return to Barcelona. Location is a bit far from everything, internet point was occupied almost all the time, choice of drinks at mini bar was poor. Small points: Needs better/stronger lighting in room over basin. Tea/coffee facitlies in room would be great, access to an iron?. Too little service although it is cheap. Cannot get a beer or wine - nice idea though with the fridges with soft drinks on each floor. Also no warm iron.The staff were not over friendly. The mini bar was very poor and rarelyhad drinks in it. The breakfast was vastly over priced waiter not at allfriendly and lot of very nice breakfast eateries close by go there bigchoice half price great food!!. breakfast not included in room rate, price vs value was ok but not super.
