Beautiful apartment in a beautiful house managed by very helpful and friendly owner. Comfortable furniture and beds (very wide single beds for our children). Pleasant sheets and blankets. You can feel that the owner likes her house and makes an effort to make it comfortable. For example, we had towels of different color for everyone. And special thanks from our baby who had a real baby bad like at home (and not "camping" baby cot which is provided usually).
all reviews » A very warm welcome from our delightful hostess who speaks some English. The roaring log fires in the guest sitting room,which were lit by her husband as it was cold outside the first two days we were there. Tasty, well presented evening meal. Good breakfasts, pleasantly served Opportunity to use a fridge and also a kitchen if we wished to cook. Everything very clean. Excellent walks and visits in the area. Welcoming & friendly. Good for countryside, easy access to good local beaches and large resorts like San Sebastian. We stayed during the winter. There was a fire alight in the guest lounge on our arrival. Room was warm. Good simple food, well presented and served at a time to suit us. Host eager to practice her English. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Simple but clean and comfortable room. Dinner was very much home cooked and of good value. A definite recomendation if you want to experience the rustic Basque country side. A perfect distance from the coast and the fast Bilbao - San Sebastian highway. We enjoyed our stay very much. The house as well as rooms are very nice, clean and cosy. The garden is beautiful (I would recommend to put there a couple of benches to sit on to fully enjoy the tranquility of the place) and the host, Iratxe was really nice and helpful. Thank you!. Very helpful and friendly host. Quiet attractive rural location but only 20 minutes from good seaside towns and 30 minutes from SanSebastian. Peaceful at night so ensured good nights sleep. Use of sizeable fridge and dining room a real benefit. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Near Zumaia, by the side of a very small town. We were cycling and, once on the right road from Zumaia, it was a very nice 8km ride from the train station. We met some touring motorcyclists and it worked well for them. Everything was perfect! Iratxe is great wonderful person. We had best time and want to com back here next year for a longer period of time. Just an observation that on the Monday evening the local restaurants were closed and it was necessary to travel to Zumaia or Zarautz for a meal. So either book a meal at Ekoigoa or be prepared to travel. I would have like a wide range of options for breakfast. But what was there was good. Nothing. Nothing to dislike.
