Everything was above expectations. The hosts were absolutely gracious and helpful. The room was amazing. The location was convenient. Really, we could not have been happier. (The hosts voluntarily upgraded our room to their best room since it was vacant, but they showed us the room we would have had and it was also lovely. Just a great place.).

Waterside Lodge was delightful. The individual lodges had been carefully and thoughtfully furnished and decorated and the whole place had a lovely atmosphere. And Nora and her beautiful breakfasts were a delight. Unfortunately it rained while we were there but being able to stay at Waterside helped greatly. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and extra touches by staff made the room welcoming. Bathroom was spacious with modern fittings. A wonderful stay and recommend it to anyone, we will definitely return. Location was perfect with lagoon and sea views. It was an exceptional stay and every sent worthwhile. The host was friendly and considerate, The breakfast was mouth watering and special. By car:
- Coming from Cape Town, follow the N2 in the direction of George.
- Drive in the direction of Wilderness.
- As you approach Wilderness through the Kaaimans Pass, take the
first turn to your left at the Caltex gas station.
- Continue until you reach the stop sign.
- Turn right and continue another 500 metres.
- Waterside Lodge is on the left-hand side.

- Coming from Port Elizabeth, follow the N2 in the direction of
Wilderness.
- After entering Wilderness, turn right at the Caltex gas station.
- Continue until you reach the stop sign.
- The Protea Hotel should be on your left-hand side.
- Turn right at the stop sign and follow the road for another 500 metres.
- The lodge is on the left-hand side.
