Situated on top of a hill looking over the Outeniqua and the Swartberg mountains, Le Petit Karoo Ranch offers luxury tents and rooms in a tranquil setting. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout. Each of the tents features a private, outdoor hot tub, and all of the rooms have en suite bathrooms. Every type of accommodation has immediate access to a deck area with extensive views. There are tea/coffee facilities provided. A fresh breakfast is prepared daily and can be enjoyed on the deck. There is a restaurant which serves local and French cuisine, and the braai facilities can be used for a traditional barbecue. Guests can relax beside the pool or take part in an outdoor activity, such as a horseback ride or tour of the Karoo region. Pascale is a great host!! The views are stunning. Pascale even served our dinner in front of the terrace of the tent - it was amazing. We can strongly recommend this place. We have been two nights there and it was a highlight of our 3 weeks South Africa holiday! The two lovely dogs were the highlight for our little son. It was pretty hot - the pool was ideal to cool down a little.
all reviews Pascal was a very very warm host! His tents are really nice and comfortable. Breakfast is worth the money and the view from up there is simply stunning. Also, it's close enough to several sightseeing places so perfect for a stay more than one night. Great place for a Family with Childs. We had have a tent. It was simple but a nice experience. It is 5 km far from Oudtshoorn City. They also have some horses for a horse Trail. The Breakfast was perfect and served on our privat terrace. The relaxed attitude, beautiful scenery, nice plunge pool, the feeling of being on a small farm. The relaxed atmosphere, the mountains, the private jacuzzi is all beautifull. Stunning views, attractive and sympethetic accomodation. We loved the view and the staff where really friendly. The location is fantastic with a great view of the Karoo. The room was fun, half camping half bungalow.... Pascale and his daughter were great host. Beautiful setting. Mind you, the road up to the ranch is very steep and uneven, don't get shocked when you encounter this for your first ride up. After that it's just good fun. The way up to the lodge could be with more light in the night and could be difficult for a normal small vehicle. The road up the hill is not very comfortable, but can be done bij normal car. Difficult road access particularly in wet weather. It is a little bit hard to find and I don't recommend arriving at night as the walk to the chalet is quiet far and there isn't much light on the walk way and the road up to the hill is very scary when u don't know how far down the drop goes, but it's all worth the view at the end. The facility is basic but good value for money. In need of maintenance,lacks attention to detail starting to look run down.
