The lodge is magical, food mostly is 1st class (except for average braai dinner). Some staff are professional. This was not a 5 star experience. Attention to detail is lacking, service lets the place down. Spa is average.

From Pretoria: - Follow the N4 to Rustenburg, Swartruggens and then Zeerust; From Johannesburg: - Follow the R509 to Magaliesburg, Derby, Koster and Swartruggens; - At Swartruggens, join the N4 to Zeerust. From Zeerust: - Turn right into President Street towards Gabarone Madikwe; - Continue through small villages for 86 km and you will find the Abjaterskop gate on your right with flags and a big thatched roof; - Inside the reserve follow the signs towards Derdepoort gate until you see the sign indicating you need to turn left to Etali; - From here follow the Etali signs; - Etali Safari Lodge is 36 km from the Abjatorskop gate.
