I have never been so impressed with the staff, than I have with those at this hotel. They could not do enough to ensure that you had a great stay. One of our highlights of our trip to SA. A credit to the hotel. Great location, so near the main lagoon, great design in rooms and great value. Will certainly return. The apartment was very spacious and very well appointed. The beds were comfortable and we felt at home straight away. Within walking distance to the Waterfront. Secure, underground parking. Breakfast at the restaurant downstairs was lovely. Very cosmopolitan feel to the setting.

We stayed in the hotel room 106. We just loved and enjoyed the time. the staff and people were very friendly and polite. The architecture of the hotel and room is just beautiful. As well we are going to promote the hotel through our friends in SA and Austria. kurt. The Rex is a very nice modern hotel with GREAT breakfast. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Luxury room is a good size for couple with baby. Very centrally located - we walked everywhere. i like the BED it was soooo relaxing and comfortable ,the view of the mountains in the balcony.Rex hotel is beautifulll hubby and I liked everything and breakfast was deliciousss. Very central location, ample parking available, walking distance to shops, restaurants and water sports. Very friendly and professional staff. Very good accommodation all around. Can be noisy from the traffic when the windows & doors are open, but this is cut off when everything is closed. For the price WiFi should be definitely free of charge and of a good quality. TV channels don't allow for kids channels. Although adequate bouquet of channels for adults. Doors of bathrooms are glass and transparent and no lock. One hanged picture at the entrance of the apartment has a girl naked from the top. Breakfast was a little confusing, no help from staff in adjoining café (were breakfast was served) regarding choices of available food. Hot breakfast items were hidden away in dome like warmers & were very sparse & quickly removed before we left. Satelite channels. No oven in kitchen. Breakfast bit of a disappointment (very basic). It was too perfect. The foyer doesn't do justice to the actual hotel. Bathroom doesn't have anywhere to put anything! Not even your toothbrush. Staff is a little bit slow and not too enthusiastic about catering the guests. But this would not be reason not to come back. More Tv channels may be added onto the Dstv package, like Mnet Action +. Which is one of the most popular and feature great movies. Nothing really. Would have been nice if there was a swimming pool or garden area for the kids but not a necessity. No tv in bedroom. No remote for air con in bedroom. service was not what is expected of a 4 star hotel. Staff was less pro active. TV was not adequate - ie very few DSTV channels available. No free wifi. don't pay attention to the little details: we didn't have toilet paper in the room, there was only one bath robe, one of the bed side lamps didn't have a light bulb in it... No pool. N/A. Mediocre staff Lack of clarity in terms of billing. It was Cold & all air condition in the bedroom & leaving room doesn't work to heater! They send us a heater in the same day & next day thy fix the air condition in the bedroom but still they can't fix the leaving room one!. The view of the residential backyard next door.Bathroom very small, no place to put cosmetic bags etc. Clothes cupboard was relatively small and difficult to access - the door being behind the bedside table. The safe did not function, despite our asking the staff to repair it. Room was never completely dark because of corridor night lights shining through the glass. We stayed at this hotel in winter, so it was very cold. Our heater wasn't working, and when we told the reception about it, they said they couldn't do anything about it and we would need to wait until the morning (when we were checking out) to get it fixed. We knew the hotel wasn't full, yet they never offered to move us to another room, and we had to wear multiple layers during the night to keep warm. Carpet in room and bench in sitting room had spills on it and the white kitchen floor looked dirty when we arrived. The view from our room looked over a wooden house with washing all over the place. shower had no door as it was in with the toilet. Every time you showered the whole bathroom flooded. The whole design needs a re think. Sloppy staff Cleanliness not up to standard Noisy guests Not 4 star standard at all in terms of services.
