For business events, the lodge provides a 220 seat (cinema style) or 150 seat (school room style) air conditioned conference room.

Rates include all meals, use of conference facilities, teas/coffees, one game drive per day and full range of audio-visual equipment and other standard conference equipment. Please note that conferences require a minimum booking of 10 rooms.

Zulu Nyala also offers a no obligation, private showing of diamonds, tanzanite, precious and coloured stones and set jewellery, on request.

For a more relaxing stay, why not indulge with a trip to the spa? Alternatively you can soak up the sun by the pool, take in the view from the decks, or unwind in the communal lounge. A games room, tennis court and snooker table are also available.

Information about the area

This incredibly rich region boasts some of Africa's finest game parks just inland of a coastline that features the St Lucia World Heritage Site and renowned scuba diving and deep sea fishing areas.

Bookable extras on-site:
Game drives: morning and afternoon (2 hours long) Morning drives start just before dawn while afternoon drives continue after sundown, into the early evening. Game viewing by spotlight after dark will give you the very special opportunity to see unusual nocturnal species. Rangers host individual groups, ensuring that your bush experience and personal interest are well catered for.
- Walking trails: for safety reasons, children under 16 years may not participate in some walking activities but bush activities for children may be arranged with your game ranger.

Travelling information

By Car:
From Johannesburg:
- Take the N17 towards Springs/Leandra/Bethal (approximately 170 km).
- From Bethal, take the N17 for approximately 55 km towards Ermelo.
- At Ermerlo, join the N2.
- Continue past Piet Retief (100 km) Pongola (approximately 100 km) and Mkuzi (approximately 65 km).
- Approximately 40 km from Mkuzi, take the Southern Maputaland/Sodwana Bay off ramp.
- Turn left.
- At the T-junction, follow the Zulu Nyala sign, turning right onto a gravel road (do not go left to Sodwana). Travel slowly as the gravel is loose and slippery.
- Approximately 6 km down this gravel road you will see the Heritage Hotel.

If you are going to the lodge:
- 500 metres before the hotel, turn left over the railway line - road sign shows Zulu Nyala and Msinene. Watch out for trains.
- After approximately 3.5 km, turn left through main gate to Zulu Nyala Game Lodge (there is always a game guard on duty).
- Follow signs to lodge for approximately 2.4 km.

You are now in a game reserve which is home to many wild animals; please drive carefully and respect their environment for your own safety and theirs.

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 90 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled up to 60 days before date of arrival, 30 percent of all nights will be charged.
If cancelled up to 45 days before date of arrival, 50 percent of all nights will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.
All children or adults are charged 100 % of the room stay per night and person for extra beds.
Maximum capacity of extra beds in a room is 1.
There is no capacity for cots in the room.
