the setting of the River Lodge down at the Sabie River is fantastic, the decoration, the garden and plantation are very charming, We had an excellent dinner. The lodge is beautiful and luxurious, the staff very friendly and professional and the organic deli is a delight. The location is breathtaking.

The food was absolutely exquisite and the chef took great care of our fussy food requirements. We liked everything there,was just amazing!. Only complaint is the spa bookings! We were residents at summerfields and paid to stay there and couldnt get spa bookings because of outside people. Rather ask occupants weather they would like spa treatment when making the booking! We were pushed in a 45min treatment 8h the morning and couldnt get any other treatments because of that while we were paying to stay at Summerfields, which was quite a disappointment for us!.

The Villa and Stonehouse are not part of the main camp and are situated 1km from the reception, but closer to the main gate. Guests will require their own vehicle should they like to travel between the houses and the main camp. Nearby are a tree-top walkway and mountain biking and hiking trails. Kruger National Park is 18 km away and Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport is 50 km. Dogs are allowed on request and only in our Family Stonehouse and Villa.
