Located in the heart of the Mpumalanga Lowveld and Panorama Route, this lodge offers stylish rooms with private entrances and verandahs. Rissington Inn features an outdoor pool and 10 acres of extensive colourful gardens. The lodge has individually decorated rooms and suites. Each unit has an electric kettle and a private bathroom with a hairdryer. All have a small refrigerator, veranda and private entrance. Guests can start their day with a rich breakfast buffet, while light meals, lunch and dinner are served in the à la carte restaurant. The Rissington Bar is a good place to have a refreshing drink and read a newspaper. Rissington Inn’s sitting room has a TV and a library with a wide range of books in a number of languages. You can also choose from a variety of activities, including hot-air ballooning and horse riding. Kruger National Park is just 10 minutes away. The nearby Sabie and Graskop have superb rock formations and waterfalls, including the Macmac Falls.

The location was fantastic for visiting Kruger National Park and the Panorama Route. Our rooms were lovely. We really liked the garden setting, it was quiet and peaceful. The food and wine at the restaurant were excellent. All of the staff were friendly, happy and helpful. Everyone went that little bit extra to make our stay as enjoyable as possible, even to the point of washing our car before we left! The free wi-fi was a nice touch as well. We loved our stay and would go back in a hear.
all reviews Rissington is situated in a tranquil countryside of Hazyview. Our rooms were upgraded to their superior rooms which very generous of the staff. Surprisely, the food at Rissington restaurant was very tasty especially the crocodile curry. In addition, we had to leave early for our onward journey and the staff kindly packaged our breakfast for the journey. The whole place was so relaxing. It was in a beautiful setting, room and facilities were great and the staff were really helpful and welcoming. I loved the information file in the room, it was informative but also very entertaining. I read it from cover to cover. Setting was great. The staff were fantastic , they made sure we had everything we needed. The restaurant food was excellent!!!!. A beautiful, relaxing place. Great food, spacious, friendly and we really appreciated the upgrade on our room! Thank you!. Ambience, availability of games, books and restful nature of the establishment. Not keen on the frogs. I know they do not do any harm, but it was a bit of a shock when one decided to jump on my pillow in the middle of the night. Some of the furnishings in the room are looking a bit worn out , like the bedside rugs. The light from the bedside lamps was a bit dim. We only stayed one night :-(. None. No other evening dining options in area, so rather restricted to the lodge when not out on safari or sightseeing. Shower is outside only. You can't shower in the bath tub as you make everything wet. Standard rooms. nothing comes to mind. On the letsbookhotel.com website Rissington Inn is described as having stylish rooms and elegant wooden furniture in each room. However, this is not true. The rooms are not modern or stylish and they have simple furniture in the rooms.

From Johannesburg/Pretoria (4 hours): - Take N12 or N4 Highway respectively to Witbank/eMalahleni, from OR Tambo International Airport. -Follow signs to Boksburg to find the N12 and then follow N4 Highway through Belfast and Machadodorp. - After the Machado Toll Plaza follow the Schoemanskloof option on the N4 towards Nelspruit, lunch at Old Joe’s Kaia is recommended. - Turn left where you re-join the main N4 at Montrose and continue towards Nelspruit/Mbombela. - At Nelspruit/Mbombela, follow the Hazyview/White River R40 signs off the N4 and around two subsequent roundabouts/traffic circles until you meet the R40 alongside the Mercedes dealer. - Turn left and follow instructions from Nelspruit/Mbombela above. - Scenic route 4,30 hours, take N12 or N4 Highway respectively to Witbank/eMalahleni and then follow N4 Highway to the Belfast/eMakhazeni turnoff. - Take the off-ramp and head into Belfast/eMakhazeni, then right, following signs to Dullstroom/Emnotweni. - Pass through Dullstroom/Emnotweni and carry on to the T-junction, turning left to Lydenburg/Mashishing. - In Lydenburg/Mashishing, turn right following signs to Sabie over the Long Tom Pass the highest tar road in South Africa. - In Sabie turn right and follow directions as above. - There are two toll plazas on the N4 at Middelburg approximately R39 and Machado approximately 58. - There is an additional toll at Diamond Hill between Pretoria and Witbank/eMalahleni R24 for those not using the N12 from Johannesburg. GPS Co-ordinates S 25º 03'27.26" E 31º 07'35.83".
