We found the place extremely and pleasantly private. Despite knowing that there were a large number of cars in the guesthouse parking area, we barely saw anyone over our two night stay, except for during breakfast and the mass check-out exodus. The guesthouse is very conveniently located in relation to the main street in Franschhoek, but yet still is able to maintain a country feel to the location. The rooms are extremely chic, attractive and very comfortable.

A wonderful getaway which is incredibly luxurious, but so very comfortable. Great staff, especially Don who is the coolest character we have met! An incredibly comfortable bed, slept so well. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. Don who managers the farm is amazing and goes out his way to make you feel so welcome and comfortable. Luxury accommodation and great value for money. I will definitely be going back. Picturesque setting, as soon as we arrived we could smell the lavender fragrance from the field, helpful friendly owners, beautifully decorated rooms and the most comfortable beds!. Rooms are well decorated and appointed. Our room overlooked the wonderful field of lavender and mountains. We would certainly consider staying again in this wonderful location. The decor in the rooms was beautiful. The aircon/heater was a blessing during the cold spell. The bed and bedding was so comfortable and luxurious. A very nice shower. Everything! Very pretty B&B, rooms were large and clean, breakfast was very nice, location was great only a few minutes drive from the Main Street in Franshhoek. The location perhaps was a little too far to walk into the Village, but that suited us as it meant that the accommodation was tranquil. The ambience was excellent. Wonderfull big rooms and great hotel manager. Also nice thats it's just outside Franschoek so a lot more quiet and peaceful. Would definitely return. Nothing. Breakfast was rather disappointing and unimaginative. Poorly signed and easily missed. Our bathroom didnt have a bath. Lighting above dressing table for putting on make up was not good. Young children were allowed to disturb the other guests from 7am til 7pm. Swimming pool isnt too big so merely for cooling down. But thats the case with most hotels in SA. nothing. Extra length bed would have been nice. Not a thing!. Nothing!. Nothing. The breakfast could have used some variety as the same every day is a little boring. The use of laundry facilities would have been helpful. slow WiFi connection. Our room was a little too close to the dining room and had to help a guest find their room at night. We did not really mind though. We had great fun. There was not one single thing I could complain about!!. Just a little way out of the town and restaurants so car needed (in a wine region?!?). breakfast was sub standard (comparable to a 2 star hotel). no brown bread, no marmite, no orange juice(only a mixed fruit cocktail drink.. no one provided a welcome / menu. extremely disapointing. No door on the bathroom , not comfortable , when sharing, even with your companion and bathroom very close to dining room ! No hangers in cupboard when we arrived, no shelving in cupboard only hanging space. I used night stand drawers for shelving shirts. No bath, only a shower. styling of the exterior of the suites. That we did not stay longer. There was a muddle with my booking which wasn't too serious for us but could have been had the difficult for another couple. Aircon instead of a fireplace. Rain. Glassdoor were you entered the room made it impossible to darken the room. Shower impractible, no intimacy shower possible. Nice veranda at the suite but without any sunshade made it impossible to use as it was 40 degrees. Aircondition impossible to change, always set at 24 degrees. Window in bathroom let in sun directly towards bed through the glassdoor to the bathroom. During our stay in South Africa at several B&B this was overrated and not worth the money. Breakfast options were limited. Pool was rather dirty but could be attributed to the wind at the time. Office closed at 5pm.after hours we can only connect through cell phone!,. We didn't have a car at our disposal so it's a bit remote without one.
