Primi Oxford House was a gem of a find. Grest location, 15 min walk from Waterfront. What impressed me the most was the look and feel of the modern studio apartment like room I had. Mini kitchenette, very large and cleaned daily bathroom and large bed and living space. It felt like a home away from home. Staff were all so helpful with organising taxis for me and even allowing me to leave my bags at the hotel a few days after checking out as I had to stop by capetown again for a few hours be.
all reviews » The location is perfect. Walking distance from downtown, waterfront, sea point, restaurants along the summerset st, Cape Center mall, etc. Huge and comfortable room with kitchenette. Very clean and quiet. I even found a Laundromat 2 blocks from the hotel. If you drive plenty of parking on the street. Janet and David were very nice as well as the rest of the staff. The free Wi-Fi added more value to the price paid which in comparison to other big hotels is way less. Overall a great little hotel. The Primi Oxford House represents excellent value for money and is perfectly located if you want to visit the V&A Waterfront. The accommodation is basic but clean, comfortable, well maintained and in a safe area. The staff are excellent and we would definitely recommend staying here if you're looking for a low cost self catering base from which to explore Cape Town. Our stay was private, quiet and very relaxing. Nice comfortable beds, clean rooms, close to MyCityBus-Route, Shops, Restaurants and V&A Waterfront. Affordable accommodation with the luxury that goes along with much more expensive accommodation. Even a Safe in the room to lock your money and valuables away! Much appreciated! Can't wait to visit again!. There was a small kitchenette in the room, including a small fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster, great if you don't want to eat out all the time. Lots of cute cafe's very close by to grab a light meal. We managed to lock the safe without following the instructions then couldn't open it, the manager gladly came in on a Sunday to assist with this. In the whole it is the very comfortable and nice place to stay in Cape Town. The house is close to all famous places in the city and it is safe. The personnel is very friendly, it was possible to resolve all questions. I liked this guest house, really. My time was very pleasant and interesting. Primi Oxford House is an excellent place. The localization is perfect: close to Water Front, you can go walking. The room is really good. Beautiful, clean, very confortable - and the price worth it. If I go again to Capetown, and I'm sure I will, I intend stay in Primi Oxford again. Very spacey modern apartments with good facilities. Staff was very helpful with all kind of questions. Apartments were kept very clean and linen/towels were changed every day. Very near to the V & A Waterfront , shops and restaurants in the direct vicinity. Firstly, you couldn't find a better location. Close to the CBD, the waterfront, beaches and amazing cafes. Secondly, the rooms are spacious, modern and comfortable. But those were minor issues and certainly not something that will deter me from returning. The safe in the bedroom was locked when I arrived on Saturday evening and could not be opened over the weekend. No offer to store valuables was made. Internet didn´t work so well in the room, we had to go out to the hallway to catch the connection, otherwise all perfect!. Could not watch the Stormers Super rugby game and had to find a bar to go and watch, maybe extend the dstv canals ?. Wifi signal not consistent throughout room but hey, this is not really that much of an issue. For me, all it lacked was a full length mirror. Not really a big prob though!!. Did not like guests smoking downstairs as the smoke smell rose up into our room. No breakfast facility. The kitchen is too small if you're planning to cook (but really no need for it in Cape Town- so many places to eat around...). Nothing. all good. A bit noisy in the passages when guests get back late at night, or are around early in the morning. Plumbing noisy when neighbours run a tap or shower. You could constantly hear people if they were in the hallway. But I would for sure stay there again. Toilet was broken and only one spoon in the room. no parking on premises. Our TV did not work properly, reported it and it was never sorted (we only had three SABC channels not even no e-TV). There was nothing to dislike. There was no stove in the house. The promised living area was non- existant. I was not allowed a late check-out even though I had nowhere to go while waiting for my trasport home. Nothing. Extra towels in bathroom. 2 prong adaptor and no hairdryer in room (can get at reception however). Quite noisy Showers were back to back so they were very loud. Having to leave. Need more option on TV and a couch in the room. Fridge was working properly.
