Beautiful old building, clean and comfortable room, good wifi connection, lovely breakfast, very friendly and helpful staff. Jessica was an absolute gem. Nothing was too much for her. Well-situated, close to the N2, about 10 minutes from the airport.and close to the city centre. Staff (Janine & Blessing) are extremely courteous and professional. The breakfast area is gorgeous and the food fabulous. It is located near the highway which links you to Cape Town city and airport in no time. I will definitely stay the.

Bed and pillows quite comfortable - more so than most other establishments that I had stayed with. The old world charm and atmosphere was quite enjoyable. Hospitality was magnificent. The only thing I didn't like was we only had one night there we had to catch a flight the next day. Walls are a little thin, so I could hear the people in the upstairs but it wasn't awful or very disruptive. But I could see where it might bother some. Apparently a slight electrical problem in the room in which we stayed: kettle couldn't be used. But coffee/tea were made available, so it didn't matter. But I'm sure the problem can be sorted out next time the electrician calls. There was nothing that I did not like. Seems some coordination /communication problem between staff as two different people phoned me about the same thing without them knowing it? Parking seems to be a problem as my vehicle is very high so it did not fit under the shape port and had to park behind other cars which may be a problem if others want to leave early. Everything was fine. No problems. We could not stay longer due to business responsibilities! (This was our third stay and there is nothing to fault!). parking a bit cramped but lots of help from staff available if needed. no real problem. Area outside Medindi, especially the restaurants. Breakfast adequate but could be improved. need a taxi to get to the city centre. Room we were in right next to the entrance and reception, therefore noisy. The lack of air-conditioning was a big pity, especially with the hot weather at the time. Room wasn't anything like the pictures online. Would definitely have not booked to stay in the standard room had I seen the original pictures!. Lack of full DSTV & flat-screen tv Plugs tripping power.

Travelling information

From Cape Town International Airport (approx. 10 mins): As you drive out of the airport terminal, take the N2 highway towards the city. Drive for approximately 12km, and take the Raapenberg Road (10A) offramp. Turn left into Raapenberg Road. Drive straight on, underneath the bridge, until you get to a T-junction (Chai-Yo Restaurant is on the left corner). Turn left into Klipfontein Road and drive for about 10 metres. Turn right at the Victorian streetlamp into Campground Road. Take the first left into Thicket Road. Medindi Manor is the 3rd property on the right.
