The family-run country-style boardinghouse Apartments & Rooms Preseren is located just 2 km from the centre of Bled and houses nicely furnished and comfortably equipped double, triple rooms and apartments. The picturesque house is situated in quiet surroundings, close to the scenic Vintgar gorge and the Bled lake and we speak English, German, Serbo-Croatian and Slovenian. If you are not coming by car we can pick you up at the bus station in Bled for free. We also offer mountain bike rental at reasonable rates. The scenic Vintgar gorge and the Bled lake are only a half-hour walk away. Make mountain bike tours through the Triglav national park, go rafting, canyoning or make a tour with a mini raft. If you prefer more relaxed activities, fishing is possible as well.

The hospitality was wonderful. The room was very comfortable. They gaveus an extra bed, free of charge. They gave us information and a map ofLake Bled and we didn't ask for one. They knew the area well and wereable to give us directions. The rooms were very nice, clean and comfortable and the scenery wasgreat. Although it was 2 km away from Bled, the distance can be walkedand by car 5 min drive to city center. The price was very good and thelocation excellent, you can see the mountains from the terace. Theperson in charge was very friendly and after the booking they sent usdirections on how to get there. Good breakfast.

Gregor was very helpful, picking us up and dropping us off when we hadsuitcases, lending us bikes for the 2-3 km trip to town, etc.. It'swithin walking distance of the The Vintgar Gorge (up a steep hill to thesmaller church). We slept like logs in the room, and were verycomfortable. Note: If coming by bus, you need to get off at the first,smaller bus station!). It is a simple and nice place with warm family that run this place.Very nice and quiet place. Did not know that we were to pay in cash...had planned on using mycredit card... We had to pool in and managed to pay in cash. Breakfast was not as complete as the big hotels we were staying at, butit was not at all bad. Small bathroom - shower, toilet and sink in less than 3 m2, no soap norshampoo in the bathroom, entrance is not from the room but common hall. Breakfast was basic but sufficient. We went at peak time so VFM rating reflects that. the location is to far from the centre..the ad said 2k. but the hotel is 3k. It's a lean breakfast. There are old and new apartments here. Ours wasdark and dated, decorated in 70's brown and orange, with a simply awfuldouble bed and quilts and the largest hardest pillows imaginable next tosmelly cows and chooks. Wifi is only in the 'home' rooms; it does notextend to the two other apartment buildings. Insist on a 'new' apartmentwhen booking to avoid disappointment.

Travelling information

- Upon arriving at the traffic light at the main crossroad (just before hotel Krim) you turn to the right and follow the main road for exactly 1 km.
- Turn right for Zasip and still follow the main road for another 2 km.
- In Zasip you pass the pub (restaurant) Kurej and turn right.
- Go uphill past the chapel for about 50 metres and take the first road on the right. Our house is the last one.
