The eco-friendly design is really unique and tastefully done. We been to Crown Plaza Hotel recently who also adopt Eco-friendly design but we would say ParkRoyal design is more impressive. Also the pool is cleverly design, guest can swim even during raining days as well. The cage around the pool is interesting. Reception and breakfast area - all staffs are very friendly. But as a couple, we don't prefer to sit at high chair around breakfast area. Anyway, overall thumbs up for Park Royal hotel.
all reviews » The location of the hotel was in walking distance of many attractions. Room was fresh and clean, bed comfortable, airconditioner quiet, shower hot and direct, lovely view and no street noise. Pool has the wow factor. Breakfast spoilt for choice, relaxed and plentiful. On our return we have talked to our family and friends about the young luggage assistant who went well beyond good service to assist us with our transfer to the boat. He made the stay for great to memorable. We had a staycation away from kids at the Parkroyal, only one night unfortunately! It was the most relaxing place to stay at, no stress and wonderful surroundings - I really like the design of the place. Best things: the room design was really great and user friendly, the breakfast was excellent with a fantastic selection of cured meats and cheeses (and honeycomb!), and the garden/pool area was great for relaxing with a book. The gym was also pretty good for a hotel gym. Beatiful design, fantastic breakfast, really helpful staff and great locations. I had booked a club room and it was everything I could have hoped for and more. I wish I'd had more time to explore the facilities, the pool area looked amazing. I did manage to squeeze in a quick drink at the club floor which was really nice (and complimentary!)before going out for dinner. The views were amazing. Loved this hotel. Plants are everywhere, even at front of the building. The room was very clean, the breakfast - very good, the swimming pool - cozy and stylish and the staff - friendly and professional. Service and friendly staff. I liked how breakfast was offered and the service area was great. Especially the 5th floor where customers could hang out and that it was kept clean and quiet. Nothing. $500 bond on my credit card seemed a little excessive. On booking made special request for double bed but was given a room with twin beds. This was quickly rectified once I complained. Pricey drinks around the pool. Pool gazebo mattress was dirty with long strands of hair left on it. We had room service dinner, the food was good but not great. The pillows were a bit hard. Extend the breakfast longer. A bit of a line for those waking late after 10am. The check-in and check out took a long time, I stay in many hotels and have not encountered such long queues. The lobby is long and thin which doesn't help ambience or movement but there are nice touches such as the seating and the large desk, and the coffee / snack bar. Check-in took a long time and our mini-bar was locked as I did not want to provide my cc details as a guarantee, so there was no way to keep drinks cold. Only small things I know... Hotel was very good. Used the bussiness center. Had to get some paperwork print. Lady in bussiness was lasting at the paper I had printed. Not comfortable with that. Breakfast has an excellent range but some of the items are not high quality, e.g., the yum cha, congee was quite plain etc. On the other hand, some of the items were excellent. To get to Marina Sands, it takes 3 subway rides. - Slightly too expensive. - Selections at the breakfast wasn't as wide as I expected and getting our coffe took some time. There was stain (faintly red, looked like blood stain) on my chair when I had buffet in Lime. It should be removed completely. Rooms rather on the small side with little extras; at check-in front desk staff let us wait more than 30' and eventually forgot about us, afterward they struggled to find our luggage again which took another 10-15' - compared to other 5* hotels in Singapore this feels more like a good 4* one. None. We loved and enjoyed every min of our stay!. Leaving!. I still don't know so far. Our stay was too short !. Some times when the reception crowded they don't respond to the calls. Nothing. I am concerned about the upkeeping of the hotel. Everything remains new right now. When I checked out, I was not properly attended to, staff should have checked room before allowing me to leave (for the benefit of the hotel). The bathroom is somewhat small, but the room's design managed to minimize the effect. The location, the water pressure in the bathroom is too low. The amenities (soap, shampoo, bath gel) is of low quality. Two electric sockets on the table and weight was not working. No veasible clock in the pool. Service from staff felt a little hit and miss, some attentive, others seemed to forget/ recall any previous issues raised, not a huge negative though. It can be a bit of a walk to your room because of the way floorplan is designed. And yes, water can take a while to heat up. Breakfast staff are surly and slow. The club room we were allocated was a little small. The on duty Pool attendant not very helpful. I appreciate the need for security, but couldn't visit family members rooms who were on another floor, we had to keep meeting them in lobby. AC was not controllable from the room. You had to call "OneConnect" on the phone to make them ajust the temperature. We had too cold all the time when we were in the room. It wasn't a problem for us but the passage to the room was through an open balcony on the 12th floor. If you do not like heights, take a room on lower floors :). I didn't like the fact we had to leave. I would have enjoyed another week of this. The laundry service and the 100% excess for anything less than 2 days laundry, the fact that breakfast finishes at 10:30 on Sunday. Air condition is something that you need to get use too. In room electronic systems should be explained on arrival. We had no explanation and did not realise our room was set on a privacy setting, consequently we had no cleaning service. It is quite hard to see the controls by the door as the lighting is low and I need glasses for reading! This was eventually resolved when we noticed the switch was on and the front desk staff then made sure our room was serviced immediately. Nothing really, maybe the layout of the restaurant. it's a wonderful hotel!. overall aircondition temperature too low (cold). It is hard to found somethinga that I did not like about Park Royal.
