I actually like coming back to Marina Mandarin, I am always a returnee. I like the new look and what I liked most is the guest welcome and assistance they provided by assigning me a Filipino staff to assist and ask me what I need. I felt very much welcome and at ease at the hotel. Room facilities had been cross-checked before the room guest moving in. All hotel staff were very nice, pleasant and helpful. High hotel security for enquiring visitor before going up to the guest's room during early morning.
all reviews » I booked a room as it was my partner's birthday and I wanted to give hima lovely treat. We were upgraded upon check in and it was an ease. Wedidnt have to wait long. The room was spacious and sevice wasimpeccable!. Very nice hotel, panoramic elevators, rooms on the last two floors are great, good location and hotel staff were very taking good care of us. We liked the possibilities to use outdoor pool 24 hours.Overall we had a four night stay at this hotel. It was excellent in every aspect - service second to none - the british ought to take a lesson in service from these people. Great location, very close to eating places of all descriptions. Plenty of shops 2 minutes walk away. Close to MRT. A 10 minute walk to Singapore flyer.An amazing 5 star hotel with attentive staff always willing to help. The two level reception could be a problem for business meetings.19th floor room with long walk to elevator. In event of fire, I was toast. Free internet was continuous for 6hrs then unavailable. Need to access internet intermittently throughout 24hrs not in 6hr stretch.Be aware freephone (1-800) in Singapore does not mean there is no service charge. In case of this hotel $3 is a little steep. Time of vacating room on day of departure.Due to F1 many restrictions and high added cost for example to get a taxi. Although it was a 5 start hotel, we have stayed in better properties than this. Personel should pay more attention to their own written policy,dresscode smart casual and no flipflops, means at least no bikini'sduring breakfast, if I want to see that I book another vacation inanother (cheaper) hotel! But unfortunately the staff at the door of therestaurant let everybody in without making a comment and/or sentsomebody back to the room to dress decent.My room was not really sond proof, I could hear the next door tv and themusic/shouting of guests from the main lobby. The room I stayed in was a little noisy... being situated above the complex's air conditioning cooling units. The noise with a constant hum 24hours a day was a little anoying through out my stay.The fact that the restaurant and the shopping mall close early. Room service is poor. Food arrived very cold and request for an extra mayonaise but room attendant answered me that mayonaise is already in the sandwich. Swimming pool attendant is not quite accommodating as well.
