One of the nearest options to the Haram. High speed wifi almost everywhere in the hotel, including room. Helpful staff. Would like to mention particularly Mr. Al-Bishi (Duty Manager), Faiz and Hassan (Bell boys) for their hospitality. Very good breakfast. The number of lifts available was quite amazing. all reviews » The hotel is awesome, The main reason this hotel runs is because of its location and also the lack of availabity anywhere else. Same goes for all the hotels in this area. Other than that, the hotel is awesome. Very nice and clean. Staff are excellent and always willing to help. One has to remember that in this location the staff are run to the ground as its too busy, so you have to exercise patience. I would definitely stay here and recommend it. In fact I can't wait to return InshaAllah. Room was clean and quite big. Extra pillows and blankets were helpful for bigger family. House keeping was good. Safe was available. Iron board was available. Separate counter for check out. Zam zam available from concierge (30 Riyal / 10 litre). Transport booking available but pricey. Can book from outside around 50% the price inside. 1000 Riyal for Medina asked by the hotel. Out side you can get it for 400-600. Near to Masjid al-Haram. Can hear the adhaan from the room. Local to the shops around the Al-Haram everything is pretty much local within the 1 mile radius or out. Overall its a nice hotel room. The breakfast was my favorite finally got a full English breakfast with various items to choose from. Would i recommend: it's YES/NO ANSWER DEPENDING on what your after. All facilities (shops, restaurants, etc) are nearby. Location was great, the price was good but that will depends on the time you are travelling to Meccah, if in Ramadan or in summer it will be more expensive. My earlier review speaks why I returned :). perfect location easy to reach the Haram always every time we go to makka and book this hotel. yiu should try it and you will love it. Location was really close to the Haram. Breakfast was great. The rooms were clean. We also experienced great help from the concierge. The washrooms could be little bigger. The hotel parking could be less costlier, esp if you have a stay for X days OR X type rooms. I had the rear facing room!!! So magnificent views of back alleys. Lol. Long time to check in. Any way , the hotel windows could be cleaned? Electric stove was found disconnected. Water spilled in the bathroom. May be a small wiper could help. Internet was very very slow, i could not use it. No WIFI in the rooms. The staff are very rude when it comes to bringing guests ; What kind of 5 star hotel is this *especially if its Asian(just to be specific)*. Some of the receptionists can't speak English so they give priority over those who speak arabic which is very rude when in the middle of serving someone. Apart from all this non-sense from the hotel it's good. (Some of the staff need training) *Disadvantage you need two lifts to get to the hotel. The Reception staff are friendly but Understaffed, It took a very long time to check our Group in multiple rooms. The Cleanliness of the rooms are questionable, had a very dirt floor Matt with old spills on it. And there was an obvious problem with the magnetization of the door cards, everyone was complaining that they regularly have no access to their rooms and that they have to go down to re-magnetize those!. Found rooms very cold even with AC off. The floor carpets is time to change, No microwaves in the rooms. You need 2 hours to have your car back but it is ok if you organize your stay. Parking charges of 200 riyals per day is very high. Wifi internet was only available in the lobby, and that too was mostly over-crowded. A 5-star facility should have wifi access in the rooms as well. They charge SAR 150 per day for underground hotel parking. Otherwise in case of a longer stay one has to park in Kudai parking. The check in time was a bit late: 5 P.m and the check out, early 12 P.m. None to report. bathrooms were not that clean and although the bed sheets were clean the top bed covers were not... quality of food for room service was very poor....slow to service the room each day....unpleasent smell in the hallways and reception. There is nothing to say in this regard. The room service "room cleaning" was a bit poor were you have to give some tip in order to clean it very well as well as the beds weren't so much comfortable as well the cutleries in the buffet restaurants need to be replaced as well the tables need to be replaced in their restaurants. 1. Wifi is not available in the rooms. 2. Due to tower height, my ears popped hardly everytime I used the elevators. 3. The check-out time is very early. As the check-in time is on 1700 hrs, the checkout should be at least on1600 hrs (not 1200 or 1400 hrs). 4. The TV's colors were very dark. Do not ask for a taxi from the hotel, they will ask you to go the rent car office in the hotel, I had a bad experience on that, I realized that the rent car office does not belong to the hotel, and they brought a privet car to take me to the airport, they share the price between the office and the car owner, and it was very expensive with a very bad driver .. As a five stars hotel, I expected a nice car with driver who knows exactly what to do and where he is going. (1) Lack of complementary airport shuttle to the Jeddah airport. Entry point is without any proper directions so taxi drivers take a long time to figure out. Internet couldnt work whole three days in room despite repeated assurances. It was barely available in lobby too. nothing to report about dislikes only that the check-in time is fairly late, 5 PM is the check-in time and i came to the hotel around 4 PM and the told me the room is not ready but i got my room around 4:20 and really not an issue if you know the check-in time. ( a mistake that i did not the hotel so i would say its HUMAN ERROR :P) Overall its a perfect score to me 10/10. The concierge service can be slow. Especially on weekends. no internet in the room. Quality of bed could be better. I felt the bed coil was hitting my back all the time. The room carpet had some old stains. The carpets, I think, should be changed in such situations. carpet quite old low speed WIFI (due to high occupancy). slow check-in, shower space is too narrow for a 5-star facility, tv remote control is not user-friendly, room lighting is too dim (for guests over 45 yrs like me).. none. Old furniture.. shower door didnt close properly.. Toooo expensive!!. Because a crude of prayer in Haram stay in the hotel worker don't reply to you and take your order or cleans the rooms . nothing to menation. - Shuttle out of the hotel is very diffecult to find Taxi and no such faciltiy in the hotel. No slippers for guests. The money was deducted from my card automatically at a certain time, just before I checked in, which is a shame as I brought along extra money to pay in cash. Note: they hotel asks for regundable deposit upon checkin. The room service cleaning took forever to reach our room, and the glass shelves in the bathroom were dusty. I don't like dust! Over all it was value for money for the amount I paid at the time of booking. And will consider it again. Taxi is very expensive from the checkout desk... - Slow check-in -asked for help to open closed safety box, no one came. - no in-room internet - not available taxi to airport - no news paper - no slippers - no cloth washing bag. Parking was paid, not feasable if you have your own car. Room preparation not up to standard of 5stars hotel no slippers no bath robes. Same as last review. The was one staff member who was particularly rude at the front desk.
