The hotel'a location was perfect in the middle of all the things to see like Hermitage, Russian museum, Nevskij prospect. As it is my home city where I was born but since long ago live in Stockholm I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this hotel: it's boutique hotel design was immaculate, with chandeliers and all the nice design details, the room was sound proof and though the proximity to Nevskij we could sleep in our quiet room. Breakfast was great, there was everything you could wish.
all reviews » The hotel is situated very centrally at a walking distance from sights and metro stops. The interior is beautiful, the paintings in passages and rooms a nice touch. My single room was smallish but not at all claustrophobic. The bed was really comfortable with luxurious bedclothes. The bathroom was spacious, of gleaming marble and like the room and all the spaces I saw, really clean and fresh. The toiletries were of good quality, too. The breakfast buffet had a good choise of hot and cold, swee. The location is excellent. We walked to all of the sights we wanted to visit. There's a great bar across the street with creative drinks that the front desk recommended. There are plenty of options available at breakfast, both hot and cold, with different drinks/coffee offered. The staff at the front desk are friendly and helpful. Thank you for a wonderful stay!. The location of the hotel is excellent: for shopping and for city trip. It's just 2 minutes walk to the Kazan Cathedral, 5min walking to Church on Spilt Blood,7min walking to metro station "Gostinniy dvor" - where you can get any excursion. Dior, Luis Vuitton, Gucci shops are on same street as this hotel. Very nice breakfast:a variety of choise. Hotel staff was kind and no problem in communication. Breakfast place was cozy and relaxing. The deluxe room, used by my son and his family, was quite a bit larger--including a larger bathroom. The rooms fit our respective needs very well. Location: excellent, just 20-40 meters of Nevsky Prospect (main street) in beautiful Boulevard, walking distance of the good restaurants and attractions. Easily to be accessed by underground. I actually don't have any more negative aspects on this hotel. The safe in my room, 608, was not fastened to the cupboard in which it was, but loose on a shelf. So it was useless, still more so as the last occupant had left it locked. This should be fixed. The rooms are quite small, even by European standards, especially when sharing with another person. This is most noticeable in the bathroom, where there is minimal space to put your toiletries/towels/etc. The shower and sink are tiny, so it's impossible to keep the floor dry. Another issue was the heat. Although it was quite cold outside, the temperature in the room is VERY warm and you cannot change it. The rooms are too dust!!!!. I am not sure if this concerns the hotel directly but when we were checking- out we demanded transportation to the airport. They arranged a car and a driver. But the car had a babyseat in the back so one of us had to sit on the front seat. Also, the driver wasn't very nice, he put on very loud music and didn't turn on the heater. And worst of all he tried to leave us on Pulkovo-1 instead of Pulkovo-2. Small elevator for baggage. A little noisy in the street at night on Friday and Saturday... Why do the Irish have to have bars in every city. No storage in our room, but we made do. The air conditioning was not operating on the whole 4th floor. When we arrived they charged our card for the entire stay and handed us keys for two rooms on two different floors (two couples) but didn't mention that one of the rooms had no air. Of course they said it would be fixed the next day, but it took 3 days. Insufficient storage space in our room; no drawers at all, very small cupboard, few coat hangers. Otherwise everything perfect & would stay again. Payment is done at your arrival. Reception is on the 3rd floor of the building and the only lift is small. This wasn't a problem however. the only down point - there is no bar/ cafe in the hotel, you can get only coffee/tea during day time in the area where the breakfast is served. I would suggest the hotel extend the choice of drinks. No bar facilities or area where you could sit and relax. No simmimg pool or leisure facilities. For 4 stars hotel, the unique smaller elevator, the hotel is in 3th floor. There is no own restaurant for dinner. Соглашусь, двухместный номер мал, но это меня одного не стесняло. I did not like at all the booking system. At the web-booking site 'letsbookhotel.com' the hotel advertises that American Express credit card is accepted. But, in reality they did not accept it,...I was just geeting e-mails, saying "there is an error in your credit card information". I tried two-three times... feeling like cheated. bedding not change in the 5 days we were there. A bit funky in that it consists of the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th floor of what appears to be an office building. Nothing. In order to get to the lobby there are about 3 stairs and then one stair to get to reception and one to get to your room which is difficult when you are traveling alone with heavy luggage. Nothing. First I got a room which stank for cigarette smoke... but when I complained I got another room. Liked everything!. small size of a room - single room on 4th floor. Few English channels (4 and all were news). They almost moved me to another room the last night, I had to pack all my things; but fortunately at the very end, they solved it and did not have to move. A bit expensive for such a small room. Bathroom was a little bit smelly. We had to make big fuss to have our room cleaned as it has not been hoovered for 3 days!!!. Reception at 3rd floor!. little room. My money and credit cards have been stolen ( pickpocketed ) in Metro station in St. Petersburg.The police didn't help me but hotel's staff and particularly Turkish Consulate in St.Petersburg were very helpfull. Reception staff is either away or slow to react ; Cleaning staff do not follow the wish sign left on the door. there was smell in a bathroom. During our stay (4 days) the A/C didn't work, although every day they said me it was fixed... I expected a wider room for the price paid! If you're a young couple and book a Deluxe room, tell them you're in a honeymoon. You will get a bigger room!.
