City Comfort Hotel is more of a hostel than hotel but the rooms are warm, modern and comfortable. The Reception staff are friendly and have good English. Free wi-fi is handy too. Great location, 300 metres from Kitay-Gorod Metro station. You take the exit through the shopping arcade going up the rise and continue straight up Ul. Maroseyka and take the first left (expensive jewelry shop on the corner) then the first right and follow the road round to your left. City Comfort is on your left and .
all reviews » Perfect location. Only 3 minutes from metro station "Kitay gorod". We arrived in midnight and they waited us. Absolutely new furniture. The renovation almost finished. New hotel, clean and comfortable. Facilities are basic. Great location near 3 metro lines and walking distance to the kremlin. Nice room with a lot of sunlight, big and comfortable bad, clean bathroom, very good location right near to the red square. Location 5-10 minute walk from the Kremlin. Some rooms still under construction,so it was giving some noise. But in general it's ok:). No cleaning of the room in between, garbage bin was emptied every day though. not so friendly staff. The pictures on Booking are really well taken: the hotel is good, but everything is not that modern, starting with the lobby which is more hostel-like. The staff is not professional really: night receptionist is just a student, who sleeps on the couch in the hall every morning, and shows you his irritation when you have to wake him up. Clearing staff clears very selectively. Rooms are not soundproof, you will hear every step in the corridor. no conditioner. Nothing like it shows on website, tiny room on roof, construction still ongoing, none of the described facilities available!!. It is not a hotel I would rather call it a Hostel with nice rooms located in the city centre. The entrance of the Hotel is very poor like a block house entrance, no real hotel facilities. No air conditioning (which usually not necessary in Russia :) but this summer was hot). Hot water in the shower switches to ice-cold in 5-7 minutes of using a shower The shower was spilling water Room was never made up, so it was wet and stinky all 4 days I stayed Internet is a shame - it broke the second day, and no one was able to fix it Staff did not care about anything at all - completely helpless, and that's despite me actually speaking good Russian. Boo... never again. It was under constructions!!!! They should inform about that. Dirty floor, suffocating smell of wallpaper glue (recent renovation), forgetful staff. it was under renovation and there was a lot of noise and dust. small rooms, not finished, noise and works all around.
