  We chose to go in early March for our wedding anniverssary. The hotel is located within walking distance (for us 70-year olds) of Peterand Paul fortress and the Hermitage crossing two different pairs of bridges across the Neva in each case. We stayed three nights and there were four different receptionists during that time. Each spoke excellent English, was che - The Hotel is located on the other side of the river Neva. The nearest metro station “Gorkovskaya” is about 10 min. On foot. Therefore it is better to use the bridges and be in the center… So the location is pretty good for walkers. The hotel room was clean and well prepared. Breakfast made a big impression. The breakfast room is a little bit small, but food quality and selection meets the highest expectations. Everything is close- the Hermitage, Nevsky prospect, the Dome etc. Staff is very friendly, extremely helpful and polite. I'd like to commend Vasili,- an exceptionally professional receptionist. The hotel is full of character, decorated with taste which becomes the old building in the grand part of St. Petersburg. Very clean, has around the clock self-service stand of coffee and tea in the lobby, good internet connection.
