If you stay at a hotel in Kazan, I strongly suggest you stay here. You won't find a better, more helpful staff. The hotel is very conveniently located and has a tourist map available at reception. Big help. Breakfast is plentiful and slightly varied every day. On the day of checkout our flight was cancelled and we were put on a flight later that night. The staff without us asking, offered us to keep our room free of charge till that time. That was outstanding hospitality.
all reviews » I had a delightful large room, decorated in a splendid Venetian style. It felt like a room in an extremely high-end hotel, but for a mere $100 a night! The staff were pleasant and very helpful. Location is good for tourism, very close to the Kazan Kremlin entry gate. The period furniture and fittings made this, what looks from the outside, a seemingly ordinary looking building, into a romantic, picturesque hotel inside. Friendly multi-lingual staff made my stay more than pleasant. Large and cosy room with a big table, comfortable for work. The hotel is close to the city center, pedestrian area, historical Kremlin and stadium. + location next to kremlin + super berakfats buffet + big rooms with sitting area + very good service at reception + service for drivers/tours etc. Absolutely valuable place. Kinf staff, clean place close to the Cremlin. Excellent breakfast and adeguate price. Hope to go back again. In the restaurant the pasta was very good, but a steak was only "OK". The "cooked" breakfast was a bit on the limited side. so if this is what's your after, you will have to make do with the abundance of pastries and fruit available. Woke up on sunday morning by personal cleaning hallway. Ufms in Russia still didnt learn the russian rules. So the receptionist are forced to ask passport also to people like me that has the pemanent permission to stay. Of course this has nothing to do with Hotel, but it's an inconvinient. A bit outdated rooms, cheap toiletries in the bathroom. It's not a 4-star, but a very good 3-star hotel. Typically they did not make the room up until early evening. However I am just used to travelling in american and they do the rooms up in the morning. would be nice if they increase the number of variety in breakfast.. also need to add more english channels on TV... Nothing.
