I had a very pleasant experience with the Bucharest stay at hotel ss residence. I was quite pleased with the service and actually made me think if I should have stayed for few more days in Bucharest. The location is absolutely fantastic... 8 minutes walk from the Piata Unirii square... which is one the main attraction and always active in Bucharest. Due to its proximity, reaching the hotel is not a problem by using public transportation... also the bus stop of airport shuttle 783 is near by... .
all reviews » The Reason I chose this hotel was due to the location the pictures and recomendations form other visitors. The hotel did not dissapoint in any way. It is as described central to the old part iof town near the museums and parks. The taxi service from the hotel is effortless and very quick. The staff themselves di everything I asked and I felt went the extra mile to make my stay very comfortable. The facilities are very good with a good range of different appartments. I will be returning to this . Great location (5 min. Walk to subway and airport bus, 10 min. Walk to the pedestrian area), good price, nice staff. The room was really comfortable (big layout, balcony, kitchenette...). Recommendation to guests: you can pay in Euros, which is much easier than exchanging money. The only area which I think could be improved is - breakfast. They had to get your preference of breakfast (veg/no-veg) and order the food to be delivered for the following morning. I got 3 pieces of Pizza and omelette with cheese & tomato and coffee for the breakfast (no juice). It was okay for the price (3 Euro) but pizza in the morning is not my idea of a breakfast! I would be happy to pay more and get continental or English style breakfast.... They don't really serve breakfast in the cafe, but that's no big deal. Because the rooms have a kitchen, you can fix something yourself or go somewhere else. Το 4κλινο δωμάτιο είχε γύρω-γύρω παράθυρα, με αποτέλεσμα να μπαίνει πολύ φως νωρίς το πρωί. [too many windows, so a lot of light early in the morning]. Internet reception is spotty, not worthy of a good hotel.
