Really attentive staff. The host was incredibly understanding and easy-going. The double room was spacious and clean. Basic amenities provided and a 24/7 kitchen downstairs is available. Excellent wi-fi connection. Great wide-screen TV. Free parking space. Good location-5 minutes away (walk) from a subway station. Availability for late check in just a call away. Overall, excellent value for money.
all reviews » The staff were helpful. We are a partnered gay couple and were given a double bedded room which we requested. The hotel is near the main station and underground and also bus 780 from the airport stops at the station. The cafe is good. The rooms were modern, beds were nice. We will be staying there again in August. Staff at reception and in coffee bar are superb. Room is clean and functional with good internet access. Better than you would expect for a 2 star -- a good business hotel close to Gara de Nord which is great for me as I often have early morning trains to catch to different cities in Romania. It was chosen by the price - It cost us 26 euro for one night for a double room and looked exactly as the one from the picture on the website. We traveled by car which I Ieft on a free parking very close to the hotel. The center of the city is around 30-40 min walk by foot. The hotel is positioned close to the North Train Station, ideal for those traveling by train. Receptionists were prompt and very friendly. Room and the bathroom were clean and the bed was very comfortable. The quality-price ratio is decent. A great choice for one night. A 24/7 self service restaurant downstairs with great prices. Parking available on site(paid) or near the hotel(free). Good wi-fi connection. Nice tv. Great location-2 minutes walk from a local subway/railway station. This Hotel is basic but clean, very near to Gara de nord train station 3 minute walk, so ideal for a night stay before a long trip on the train ect. Price good for the convenience of the location. -There is a metro station right outside the hotel -Relatively close to the city center by foot -Clean rooms -It's fine for one or two nights. I couldn't pay by credit card at check-in but the host told me it was only temporary. Not enough towels provided in the bathroom and also no soap/shower gel, shower cap etc. (but if you bring your own anyway, it shouldn't be an issue) Noisy in the morning if you keep the window/s open (can prove quite an issue for those light sleepers, so bring ear muffs/plugs/phones etc.). In the cafe they do not do much range in Romanian beers, I like to go foreign places and have local beers, not the likes of carlsberg etc Also, they need more beers on tap and the bottles are the small 330ml and not the large ones. The view from 718 room is 90% the the wall of the opposite hotel and 10% sky. We had very noysy neigbours but themost annoying thing was the cleaning lady trying to enter the room at 09:30 in the morning (we were supposed to leave it not later than 12:00) without giving me an opportunity to put some clothes on :-). The disadvantage of hotel positioning is the presence of numerous homeless people in the area after dark. Comfort was affected by the position of the toilet: the wash basin and the shower were actually in the room, less than a meter of bed. The room was equipped minimalist, without a basic nightstand. The bathroom is quite non-existent as it is part of the room so keep that in mind in case you want a romantic night :)) There is no privacy at all. The cleaning staff was quite noisy in the mornings-very disturbing. The Heat. The room was hot, and the ac wasn't working. Overall not a big problem, I slept with open window. The shower and toilet are partly in the room.. of course you cannot see the person, but it can be embarassing if you are just friends sharing a room.. othervise have no worries, the room is perfect. nothing. Parking in front is 2 lei/hour, no matter if you want to stay 2 or more days. room was small but OK i don,t have problem with it and no pool. Parking is very expensive (4 LEI/hour). For a 24h stay you will pay for parking almost the price of your room. i dont like evlevator is verry bed. The room is too small. the location - close to Gare de nord - is both the best and worst. Blinds/curtains didn't completely cover window letting in a lot of light from the neon sign opposite. Luggage store - staff give you the key to help yourself. Rooms were a little boring, almost like a hospital room. Parking was extremely expensive, but you can park on the streets for free. room too small. I didn't like the towels (too small and not enough for 2 persons), it was noise on the hallways because of a group of kids and nobody from the staff did anything to shut them up. The bathroom design is so that after every shower you have a pool of water on your bedroom floor!. A bit noisy one night because of some late/cheerful travelers, the room 216 had a small window towards another building so not much light. I have the feeling that the cleanliness standard was a bit reduced compared with our last stay there. - I do not have anything to comment negatively. No comments at this price/ level of expectations. There was a misunderstanding with the bill, other than thant everything went well. Shower in the bedroom was weird. there were no fridge in the room. -wifi at floor 5 was horrible. There was no shower cap and that was needed as the shower was fixed;. Some lights is not working. Parking is 4 RON per hour. Some small problems with the curtains. It is time to buy some new hairdryers (there is only 1 and broken) and an iron.. :) And I did not appreciate that the towels I left on the floor were folded and left back where I left them. No hair dryer, would like better food option, also if you don,t know the area you are in for a culture shock ( be care ). -The toilet is actually in the room and this makes things very uncomfortable if you are a couple -Parking is not free but very cheap.
