This was a perfect base for exploring Krakow. It is in an excellent location. Our room was clean and cheerful. Everything appeared newly refurbished. The common areas for eating and relaxing provided a place for interacting with other travelers from all around the globe. The staff was helpful and friendly. And, contrary to info in previous reviews, the towels were great!. First you have to understand that this is a "hostel", not a regular hotel. Thus you make your own bed and the room is not cleaned daily. The staff were extremely good and helpful. It was useful to be able to make a hot drink in the shared kitchen area. Located very close to the centre of town.
all reviews » The hotel was in a really good position, the private room we had was excellent and really funky, very comfortable ,The man who checked us in was very friendly and recommened the "Singer" Bar to us in the Jewish Quarter which we loved and cant wait to go back -. This hostel was brilliantly located a 5 minute wak from the main town square, shops, restaurants and bars. In my opinion a very good hostel which I wold stay at again, very clean with good facilities and staff at a good price.I liked the modern furniture and the decoration very much. Would prefer bath towels instead of hand towels, was a bit noisy due to the trams but as there was so much to do at night and so comfortable in the room didnt wake us up and they stopped at 11.Hotel is on a busy main road so difficult to sleep with the windows open. If you are at the front the trams make a bit of a noise, but hey, you are in a city!. Tv channels were not suitable for children. a little bit noisy but we slept tight. Traffic a bit noisy, trams run all night, bit of road work ongoing. I did not find any english or german speeking chanel on the tv.the breakfast could be better organized. no. poor breakfast, noisy youngsters that the hostel seems to attract as guests. part of the ceiling was damp, green and painted off. A very noisy room facing the street with trams and stone pavement (andthus extra noise from traffic). One must be very lucky to find a parkingslot in the vicinity. An old building has a lot of charm but,inevitably, some problems. Breakfast starting at 8 am is too late for atraveller planning an early start. Betting was a bit too small to cover matress - rooms very warm.The room was not cleaned at any time after our arrival for the entire stay. Towels and soap were not in the room upon arrival. Bed linen provided did not match size of bed. The room was pretty dirty, there was a huge dump on the ceiling that was dropping off and left the room even worse. The shower curtain was dump and full of mushrooms. The heating was not working, but at least they gave us an electric one.I was there for 4 nights without a refrigerator. There wasn't much point in having an apartment because I couldn't self cater. I reported it everyday and Reception weren't interested. la prima notte ci hanno lasciato senza riscaldamento (ed in inverno non è molto bello...) solo dal secondo giorno dietro nostra minaccia di lasciare la struttura ci hanno fornito una stufetta; la pulizia delle camere non è un gran che e deve essere richiesta in reception - for the first night they leave us without warmers only from the second day they give us an air warmer - room not clean.

On each floor of our hostel you will find a fully-equipped kitchen compartment including a fridge-freezer, a toaster, an electric kettle, a microwave oven, a hotplate, cutlery and pans.

Breakfast is served daily from 8 to 10:30 o'clock. It includes fresh bread, cottage and cream cheeses, pâtes, jams, honey, cereal and milk. Self-service. Coffee and tea is available at all day.

Two of our floors houses cosy living rooms, the perfect way to relax after a day exploring Krakow. On each floor you will find a kitchen and common room where you can watch television, cook and meet new people. Kadetus Hostel is situated in the very centre of Krakow, by the 19th-century Zwierzyniecka Street. The Market Square - the centre of Krakow's culture and entertainment is just 500 m away, that's a 5-minute walk! This is where most of city's historic sites, museums, pubs and restaurants are located. The Market Square is also a frequent venue for concerts, theatre and dance shows. Within a 10-minute walk you can reach the old Jewish district Kazimierz with its charming narrow streets, quaint architecture and original cafes. The Royal Castle on the Wawel Hill - a source of Polish tradition and history, is very near to our hostel.

Slowacki Theatre, down Pijarska and Florianska Streets to the Market Square, then acroos the Square by the Town Hall Tower, down Wislna St. to Planty. Ńext, walk across Straszewskiego St. by the Filharmonia concert hall, down Zwierzyniecka St. to number 25 where we are located.
