I stayed at the Hotel Columbus with my family (mum and sister) in a triple room which was really spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was clean at all times with a nice strong shower and bath. There was plenty of storage space in the room for tjhe three of us. The staff were exceptionally helpful, thoughtful and friendly, great advice on how to get to places in Cracow and where to eat etc..
all reviews » We were very pleased with Hotel Columbus. The staff were friendly, attentive, and helped with booking tours and arranged taxis to and from the airport. The rooms were clean, tasteful, and comfortable. It's on a safe main street a short walk from Kazimierz and a 20 minute walk from the main square, but there are trams if walking isn't for you. Would definetly stay again.Well appointed modern hotel, 2 mins from Kazimierz centre for restaurants and bars, 12 mins walk from Old Town Square. Very friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast too. Due to reports of tram noise in the front facing rooms, we asked for, and were given, a rear facing room. Room was a decent size with a very well finished shower room. Beautiful room with superb shower room and immaculte public areas. The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. This hotel only opened in 2007 and would be somewhere I would recommend with no hesitation. The location was great, within easy walking distance of the Old Square and with many restaurants in the nearby Jewish square.Everything was grand, friendly staff, nice clean room, close to the main square bout 10min walk, breakfast serve to 11, quiet- no noise from the street, it is nice new wee hotel maybe there is no swimming pool and stuff like that but in Krakow is loads more interest things to do lovely place. The hotel staff very helpfull and friendly. The rooms very clean, comfortable,and good size. There was a great selection for breakfast. The location was excellent within walking distance to the main attractions. The celebrations in the square were great and the city is beautiful. The hotel is well situated for a straight 10 minute walk to the main square, 15 minutes to train station. No hotel bar, but there are plenty in close proximity. Limited english speaking channels on TV, but again there wasn't much call for them - neither of these took from the positive experience of staying at the hotel. There was nothing I would change about this hotel. Minor point - the pillows were not firm enough and tea and coffee facilites in the room would be nice even though we were told we could get them on room service. Bit of a walk to Old town. We booked a parking spot of apparently €8/day but ended up paying €14 as they didn't reserve a place for us. Wold have liked the choice of a bath or shower, and could hear the tram noise a little, a good walk to the old town but literally just round the corner from the all happening with great restaurants and funky night life Kaisimerz.
