The location was superb as right in the main square. A great buzz in the evening sitting outside with a drink. The decor in the room was lovely - very stylish and immaculately clean. The bathroom was nicely decorated and shower was excellent. The breakfast was good although this wasn't included in the room price. The staff were very polite and the waiter even offered to take a tray of tea up to our room in the evening even though they dont offer room service.
all reviews » The most important for us was the beautiful location in the heart of the old town. Close to the hotel there are numerous excellent restaurants, coffee shops and bars. Very clean and nice decorated room. Friendly and helpful staff. For sure I would recommend this hotel!. The location is perfect, in the middle of the Old Town. Breakfast was good and the room was quite nice. The hotel organised us a taxi and it was great to have the driver waiting for us. We enjoyed the restaurant on the ground floor. The hotel was in a superb position in Gdansk. From booking into the hotel late in the evening untill we left all the staff were helpful. We only stayed in a standard twin but it was a very big room and the beds were comfortable. We stayed for three nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. The hotels location is just perfect right on Dlugi Targ & has an excellent decking area to enjoy a drink or have lunch & people watch. Furniture and the style of the hotel. I will be going to my bank this morning to make sure Holland House Hotel aren't trying to take my money twice. I went onto Sopot and was not asked to sign my debit receipt again. Nothing. The smell of food in entrance and inside restaurant was too heavy: we didn´t want to stay there but outside there was a nice terrace. Beds could be a little bit softer. I missed having tea and coffee making facility available in our room....I was aware that there was none. the breakfast was a bit poor and extremely dark venue to eat,. Breakfast costs too much Windows are not soundproof No air conditioning. Nothing. Could not fault it. Noisy street till late night - this is not a problem with the street but the windows are not sound-proof. Breakfast was unfortunately not as good as it could have been. Warm buffet food was cold and no one around to assist. Could be noisy in summer when windows are open. No air conditioning. Breakfast was reasonable but not as good as others we have tried. In the shower cabin no shelf to put the soap, only on the floor. the only problem was the smell from the restaurant , and the entrance cause it is a part of the restaurant. dark bathroom, no parking, no info/menu in Dutch!? (it is called Holland House). lack of air conditioning in room. second morning there was no bacon for breakfast, we spoke to the chef and we got bacon the next morning. Nothing to complain about. Not so clean.. And we had to pay for to babycots 20 zloti each day;(. There's a continuous peculiar smell caused by food (cheese? sauerkraut?) which can be irritating after a few hours if one is sensitive to odours, like I am. I also found my shower cabin to small. nothing. It was really cold in our room, first night. Then tey gave us an etxra battery. The bed was too soft and creaky. Noisy,like sleeping over the busiest student bar you can imagine. No air conditioning,windows had to be left open all night.allowing in street alcohol fueled shouting,roaring sounds and mossies.
