We asked for cabins with view of the harbour and we got assigned/upgraded to three cabins as requested. Very nice and relaxing atmosphere. Nice restaurant Borsen Spiseri -- but book in advance when you have a large group in slack season. Very close to the town -- across the bridge -- and nice walks around. Very confortable and pleasant living at the site surrounded with fantastic scenery. Appartement was very practically designed and very well equiped. We appreciated the possibility of good breakfast in the main building.
all reviews » We stayed in Cabin No.30, a 2-bedroom cabin on the waterfront. Small as it is, it is very cosy, comfortable, and well equipped. The 2 bathrooms really meets our need. And, the kitchen has everything to offer. the panorama view over the harbour of Svolvaer is fantastic. The guests can see every evening two Hurtigline ships coming in and going out. The comfort and the design of the apartments are excellent. Location of rorbuer is awesome! It`s closer to the most romantic place in Svolver - pier and famous fish dryers. And it`s in front of the best restaurant in the city also!. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They will gladly advice regarding tracks in the area.The cabins are neat and fully equipped. The view from the cabin is great. Staff were excellent, area great for walking everywhere, beautiful mountains and northern lights, nothing a bother for staff to help you with, restaurant very good. location was great. Good floorplans and good value since we ate meals in the cabin. A definite recommnedation with the two caveats of what we didnt like. The experience could be nice and different but the one thing that ruins everything is a poor attitude. This manager has that in spades. The snow was melting on us due to rain and warmer temperature in late October. Can't blame Svinoya Rorbuer, though. Price! Breakfast not included. Slightly higher prices than expected in restaurant but still very good. Need heavier blinds as light made it difficult to sleep. Need screens on windows. Although not many flying insects, there were some that made there way into the cabin. A bit expensive (cheapest bottle of wine in restaurant £40!). A bed a bit narrow. A bit old. Relatively expensive. Need a car to get around the place. nothing. Nothing. The sofa should have been hooverd under the cousions. A bit noisy from factory nearby. Kitchen did not have a toaster. As noted nearby, the manager/staff were indifferent and the attitude was simply appalling. We traveled thousands of miles and these guys couldn't lift a finger to help. Understand it is a small biz but laziness is no excuse.
