Staff friendly. Single room contemporary, very comfortable, felt like a small flat with its own front door rather than hotel room. Single bed extremely cosy with luxurious mattress topper for added comfort. Staff lovely, I didn't pay my bill initially and had to return to hotel to do so. The staff very understanding and were concerned that I made my flight in time. Would certainly stay again.
all reviews » Loved the position. Had a large room with amazing views of the mountains, water and ships. If you were disabled, the rooms too would have been easy to navigate, especially the bathroom. The reception staff were friendly and capable. The restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed our stay there. Exceptionally clean and modern looking. Staff very helpful. For those wanting to go to the Aker stadium, you couldn't get much closer (and the soundproofing works well, on match day you wouldn't even be aware a match was in progress). Very near the hurtigruten port so it's convenience for ppl travel by this cruise. And just right next to Aker Stadium which we visited too. Breakfast is nice. Love the pancakes!. An amazing hotel in all ways!! So beautiful and calm. Near to the center and with a beautiful mountains view. Very clean and an amazing breakfast... A few questionable options regarding room decoration: a bed lamp almost on top of the pillow or no place for soap in the shower. Didn't detract from the overall good experience but still details that should be improved. We really wished to dine but resturant was full booked. Price of the beer but you don't go to Norway for the beer!. Rooms to the street are quite noisy!. Most hotels in Norway are ridiculously overpriced, including this one. We had hoped to eat in the hotel restaurant, but the cost of food was so absurd we went to a pizza place. Ca$200 for an ordinary meal for 2 without wine. Wished we could have stayed longer as we only stayed one night before flying out to Oslo. Nothing, really. The hotel had overbooked and did not have a room for me. They did eventually manage to get a room for me and it was very nice. The breakfast is not special. It hasn't waffles neither salmon. The food was expensive. Expensive but so is everything in Norway. There was no Minibar :(. Building work, but it was only temporary during renovations. Our room 201 very noisy Saturday night It's over a bar. Bit pricey, but this is Norway!. visit was far too short. Nothing. No enough parking space, we didn`t get a parking place. Noise. The room we were given had one window misadjusted, impossible to close properly, so there was wind noise as well as exterior noise (hopefully it was a warm sunny day). Apart from that, there was no soap in the shower. We discovered both things too late to ask for fixing, but for the price of the room, they should have checked that everything was OK before booking it. The hotels was being refurbished when we visited which we were not made aware of. , the we had workmen decoration in the corridor outside out room etc.. Noisy rooms at the front of the complex. We requested a double bed but 2 single beds pushed together are not a double bed. We ended up tieing the beds together to us falling through the centre of the bed when they slipped apart... Never seen a bathroom that small. A shower you literaly could not turn around in. Staff was a bit "distante". Hard to find information from anyone without "pulling" it out of them.
