I liked everything at Thon Hotel Kristiansund ... Excelent location with a splendid view... exactly on the waterfront, with a nice terace from where you can quietly enjoy your coffee or dinner while watching ships on shore or go out at sea or just simply to look the bridge and the other side of Kristiansund city in all its splendor. The staff very friendly and helpful, and food is plenty and delicious. The rooms are clean and confortable and the bath has underfloor heating, so you will feel .
all reviews » I was marooned here for 3 days while waiting to go offshore - weather was too bad for helicopters to fly. Staff all very helpful and friendly. Hotel is clean, warm, nice rooms with wooden beams - I don't usually care about such things but it did make the place more welcoming. Bed very comfortable. Food was excellent - very good breakfast and evening meals. I love seafood so was in my element here - scallops, cod and seafood soup all superb. Lovely views across the fjord to the town from the res. First class situation onthe seaside of the island ofInnlandet,overlooking the seaside of the Kirkelandet ( an other island of Kristiansund,Good service at the hotel in reception and restaurant.Good value for Money. Great location with view over the harbour of Kristiansund, with nice rooms (ask for a room located at the sea side) Fantastic breakfast .... best breakfast we had in Norway. Friendly staff members. Location is very nice, we had a room right over the water. Dinner in the hotel restaurant was delicious, even though not very budget. :) They also have russian-speaking waiter. The pay TV not on demand - rolling scroll of movies but no timetable supplied so pot luck as to when the film started !!. Allthough airport shuttle is available ...it apparently only runs once a day in the morning at 08:15 according to the reception desk... basically useless. when we arrived, we could not find any restaurant that was opened in the hotel premise. None - Enjoyed stay !. Breakfast quite limited. Plan ahead, it's hard to find. Restaurant closed on a Sunday night ( just when you need it ). very expensive for a budget chain hotel. The hotel does not offer pedestrian routes for guests who want to explore the city limited in time. Restaurant working only until 9 p.m. - we came 20.50 and have only time for drink a beer. Problem with parking place.
