The family hotel is very near to Alesund airport, only 5 mins drive. The couple are very nice and warm heart. I highly recommend people to live there. It was a funny little motel with six rooms next to a larger hotel. Very clean and a nice hardwood floor. It was a two-tunnel drive to town but a nice, reasonably-priced place to stay. - for our budget travel to Norway it was the perfect location to explore that Alesund area.

The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. They exuded warmth and went out of their way to make us welcome. The fireside reception lobby was warm and inviting. The location was superb. Breakfast was the best we had on our whole trip and the breakfast room had a light, warm and friendly feeling with a world class view. Would love to stay here again. Highly recommend.

It was a nice stay in ålesund hostel. For a small price you can have a
kind and helpful service ( even when you get sunburn ;)), clean and
comfortable rooms and delicious breakfast. Although the hostel is
situated in a center- you do not need to worry about the noise during
the nights. You can sleep well. I will be back there soon ;) -
