Great location easy walk to Lambton Quay and other quality shops, bars, restaurants, Courtney Pl. An easy 15min walk to stadium we were in Wellington to watch Warriors vs Bulldogs game. Accommodation was excellent everything we needed in our apartment which was well suited for 4 guests. Staff very accommodating allowing us late checkout which was great as we had a late flight. They stored our baggage whilst we went sight seeing. And called us a cab to airport when we collected our baggage well .
all reviews » The lady at front desk was friendly and helpful. We had trouble getting the tv to work, she explained and also offered to come to room and get it working. Also my daughter accidently dropped her ipod by lift which was found by permanent apt man, who phd us to arrange getting back to us - very honest and appreciated!. Centrally located .. Easy walking distance to hop on tours, go to local restaurants and pubs, walk around the harbour areas, good quality shopping Lambton Quay and other areas. Excellent location for accommodation. Friendly obliging staff, clean neat room, space enough for a 1 night stay and early departure. Taxi was arranged by staff the day before thank you. Recommend for a brief stopover in studio room. Friendly service. Comfortable and classy apartment. Central to most things in Wellington. Quick to fix an oven problem. Great having access to pool at gym next door. It was close to westpac stadium and other wellington city attractions. It was great to have onsite parking, even though my vehicle is quite large we were accomodated. The apartment was well laid out, very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and had excellent cooking facilities. It was private, quiet and secure. The location was good in relation to close to work; the young lady on reception on Wednesday evening was outstanding in the help she provided. The close proximity to Central city, shops, restaurants etc. had all the basics we needed. Full facilities including a washing machine in the studio. Gym and swimming pool access. Great staff. Very friendly and helpful - both at the front desk and housekeeping. The fact that it had kitchenette. It was reasonably close to main part of town. We were left alone to our own devices and never made to feel unwelcome. Staff at reception very helpful. Security excellent. Bed comfortable. I didn't like the fact that I needed to make so many phone calls to get the ipod back as this was all organised and office staff just needed to make a ph call for courier to pick up! Staff need to communicate together a bit more I think. I finally did get it back, but it took more than a week after they received the courier bag and several phone calls. Washer drier (doesn't dry clothes) takes very long with disappointing results Wasn't reported to staff we ran out of time. Taxi failed to arrive at booked time (no fault of staff or hotel) but distressing all the same. Blunt knives when preparing meal. Not sure how much we were charged as we had to check out early to catch a plane - still not sure after checking our bank records. No parking!!!!. There was no alarm clock in our room. No sky tv either. The studio apartments opening into the Atrium are extremely noisy. The sound from other guests was far too much. Not much sleep at all, Maybe sound proofing the windows would help. rooms were very hot and stuffy. Room a little tiny but certainly ok for a short stay. Hallway ceiling sensor light goes on and off all night. Needs a blackout blind into bedroom. (Blind was broken and not up) Venetians are inadequate. Bedding a little light for cool weather. Noisy and echoey at times due to design of building, the Atrium acts as an amplifier for any speech or noise. One night was a choice of closing window and being hot, or keeping it open and listening to someone else's TV. Cleaners started quite early and hoovering the landings was the first job! No external view. Washing machine took an age!. Size of double ? bed Creaky elevator. bed old small uncomfortable. room and facilities a bit small. little bit noisy. Apartment backed onto urban motorway, very noisy all night. Quest internet site advertises that free wifi available throughout premises, but in reality this is only available free for the first 24 hours. I found that deceptive advertising. Bedside lamp had no bulb making reading difficult. Room colour is dark and light to room isn't great so that it feels dingy. The receptionist that attended to our needs when we arrived. She spoke too fast was not clear and failed to tell us about things we should have been told, ie putting the parking letter on our vechile. Travel a lot and she seemed very vague generally. A bit noisy overlooking the motorway and I didn't realise the exact location. One light in lounge was not working. Wd have expected electric blankets on the beds. The handle was loose on a drawer and fell off. Had I a screwdriver I would have tried to replace it. Presumably the cleaner did not report the deficiency. Nothing. Knocking into the bed in the main bedroom while trying to walk round to cupboard - bed too big for room or room to small for bed size. LONG LONG wait for call to be answered - was beginning to panic that we would not be able to access our apartment on our first night when we arrived late, and also when we wanted to retrieve our luggage afterhours on departure - began to worry about missing flight becuase it took so long. Noisy on a Saturday night, other guests were noisy and someone vomited in the lift / elevator! The apartment lacked a few things to make it truly special - a hook in the bathroom, broken locks on bedroom doors, needing an extra light in bathroom above sink, no handle on shower door, staff forgetting to service room.... It was a nice place that could have been so much better! Attention to little detaisl needed. The 'open plan' connectors between the main bedroom and sitting area was a bit odd. Hall way smelled of cooking so better ventilation is required. The cutlery especially the spoons were actually peeling at the back, didn't feel safe using them. The carpet by the bed had someone elses hair on it. not much pressure in shower. Little noisy. THe room was smaller than expected. The room we had only opened into the atrium. It was noisy and lacked privacy adn natural light as a result. Quite dim room due to no natural light. Dirty carpet Very stiff door lock Not child friendly with a balcony lock that opene in seconds by a 4 yr old. A little overpriced. Forgot to service room on 2 occassions. Like all of New Zealand hotels, this hotel is still living in the 90th with its approach to the Internet and wifi facilities. Paid time or data limited connection is an anachronism today. To find street entrance to the hotel parking is absolutely crazy task because Wellington streets are situated on different levels and GPS goes mad as well as your own conscience. Be prepared to spend 15-20 minutes searching for parking. Tiles in the bathroom and floor bit dirty, hair from previous guests. Location made it very noisy with windows open unfortunately... But when shut was fine... Pretty good value and like that it was modern & comfortable... Thanks. I booked for an adult and 1 child and was given a room with 1 bed!!! No room for foldaway.(the child was my 13year old son.. Sleeping with mum was not appropriate!!) there was an awful smell coming up from the drains/plugs in the bathroom and there was something either growing or stuck in the bend in the toilet bowl. The access to the pool and gym were not unlimited, they were available in gym hours as this is a seperate entity from the hotel - misleading on the website. If you are staying at the weekend check the hours. Pool towels were only available at hotel reception which did not coincide with the opening time of the gym. If you could not get them at reception the gym will charge you $3 per towel. Maybe the gym could have a stock of towels for hotel guests?. The room was just too small, even for just one person, totally unsuitable to carry out any work in there. Certainly not of the standard advertised on letsbookhotel.com!! I will not be returning there. Our room smelt terribly of stale smoke, also the drain in the bathroom was quite smelly too. The bathroom needs a bit of work (including fixing the broken lock) and an extra good scrub of the floor. We had to reattach folding doors to their track in order to close off the bedroom. I think that they need to look harder at maintenance as this is really where an otherwise good hotel lets itself down. Size of room and lack of twin share. No outside space or spare room inside. Echo in atrium-could hear other guests at all hours, & lights come on. Rooms were warm & no airconditioner. Had to use fan each night.-in April!! Also minimal room for kitchen-cooking with cords from other appliances over stove. No cleaning of apartment & stocking up of coffee etc.TV Hard to work out. Room hadn't been cleaned properly. The pedal bin in kitchen was 'in soak' and had dirty, smelly water in it . The sofa was old and grubby. The wardrobe and drawer space was woeful.
