The hotel was very clean, inviting. It is right on the waterfront (but not a beach). The view from the room, the lounge and the dining room looks out over the water. It has a nice restaurant, and snacks and beverages available in the lounge all day. A cooler of infused water is available with glasses all day. The staff was very friendly.

Your breakfast buffet. The staff were especially kind curteouse and not over bearing. The reception staff were helpful but could take a lesson from the staff in the wait staff. A smile goes a long way to repeat business. The facilites were excellent clean and value for money. We enjoyed our stay at Trinity, the rooms were excellent, view great, staff very helpful indeed. Service dining was wonderful and the food great. Would have loved to stay longer, but had to get back to work. Will be coming back soon. We were very impressed with the good natured helpful staff. They were all excellent, from front of house,restaurant and also housekeeping...if only big city hotel staff were so natural. Soundproofing was very good. The view from our room and situation of room. The restaurant and staff very attentive food wonderful. Will be staying again. Sara at the front office have outstanding customer service, always with a big smile and willing to go extra miles to help. Location to CBD, great bath, comfortable bed and pillows, good amenities, quality picture on TV, Sky movies and sport°. Friendly staff, good location to have a walk along the seaside. Just to be clear, this is a nice hotel, but it is not a luxury hotel. When we first arrived the reception staff did not smile once.This gave me a negative impression of the hotel. Our room was opposite the dining room which made it hard to sit on the verandah and enjoy the night air. There were no irritations at all. The room cleaning needs to be improved. More attention to presentation eg mini bar items need to be in box or basket. Furniture and paint work needs a touch up. Larger tv. Nicer outdoor funiture. My mum is 80 yrs old and would love to go into the pool for a dip but find it difficult to use the vertical step to get into water. Perhaps a little pricey Some minor noise issues. My room looked on to the car park, but you are able to pick harbor views (at an extra cost). Didn't find the staff very welcoming and friendly. Only stayed one night. Pool - closed as they appeared to be painting over the Long Weekend. Food was vey average, breafast was ok dinner was disappointing. The room was a bit small for the price i paid. I think the cook should look at how he prepares pineapple. I don't like to have the chewy "eyes" left in. A small matter, but left a not so good feeling about an otherwise good breakfast. Good if visiting one night, but we did 3, there are very little amenities for drawers for clothing etc. Lack of shelving in shower for shampoos etc. I thought the TV channel selection was poor and felt that a filter coffee should have been complimentary. Bathroom glass sliding door was difficult close fully.My wife had trouble getting it to slide open also. I was not made aware of the 1.5 % Credit card surcharge. keys to room failed 3 times and tele was no able to recieve movies and maintenance team unable to repair. Hotel was noisy at night, lots of noise from hallway. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing. bad wi-fi connection. Staff looks untrained Wifi is only 50Mb free. Super noisy during the day Overpriced food plus tipping is unseen in NZ! on top of a delivery surcharge! $25 for a burger plus room service fee plus gratuity. $73 for a dinner. Service was appalling, waiters too busy checking on the screen or chatting between them. I felt uncomfortable when they came asking for the opinion about the food... it was not genuine. Few aspects could do with up-speccing - quality of towels, bed blanket, , décor is looking a bit tired in the rooms. Bar and breakfast service was a bit average, buffet was very poor quality and range. we got put in a room that was soo dark out the back of carpark when we spent $510 on i I at least expect a bit of sunlight was horrible , the bed was shocking to singles put together is not a king bed , very disappointed will not be back.
