We had a studio apt without a view but it fit our needs since we did not plan to be in the room much. We did not mind the 10 - 15 minute walk into town because we liked the exercise. all reviews » 1) Professional, helpful & super friendly staff - Rowena and her staff were accommodating in every way. Accidentally had a night charged prior to my stay instead of during it. We worked out to keep the charge on instead of reversing it and provided with a bottle on wine on arrival. Also, had some issues with my CC, they were patient & understanding and, once sorted out & we decided to stay an extra night (4th), they offered a free night to honour a special on their website, regardle. The staff were very friendly and it seemed as though they were always making an effort. They got to know me by first name and accomodated me greatly, especially on my last day with by checking out and looking after me even once I had checked out. Some other reviews say "out of town" but it really doesnt feel like that, it feels away from the main bustle but that means it is nicely apart from all the other hotels etc. See my review from 22 October 2013. Loved this place so much, originally planned 3 nights, added extra night for a 4th. Then completed a 3 day road trip to Mt Cook, Lake Tekapo, Mt Hutt and Christchurch before cutting short Christchurch to return to Queenstown & Pounamu Apartments for another night!! Unscheduled. Nothing particulary, was worried about the small space for making drinks and washing up, close to the door in our room but the positives and luxurious feel to the room, made up for anything else. Nothing really... not a major concern - No covered access to apartment from basement carpark - not so good in bad weather. The size of the room was a bit small, but still workable/comfortable for 2 adults. N/A. The window coverings let in a lot of light at night, making it difficult for us country folk to sleep. The garage space allocated to us was in between the company vans and depending upon how they parked, we sometimes found it difficult to get into our space. There were plenty of other spots available however so it wasn't a problem. Stairs from the parking lot may be a problem, if one had knee issues. The studio apartment has no privacy because the walkway is alongside the bedroom and we always had to keep the blinds closed. You could hear a lot of outside noise eg. other guests which wakes you up several times a night. Was a bit noisy on Saturday night with people coming and going on stairs. Being in back bedroom and apartment by stair. Would be good if they have "do not distrub signs......". Very cramped room with only one window looking up to walkway. Quite a walk into town. Room was a little small, location a little bit of a walk into town. Tiny size of room expensive. Access by ramp and stepped entrance is not the best but tolerable Shower configuration and pressure inadequate. nothing. Smallness of studio, no outdoor area, pubic hairs on the bathroom floor and a towel, inadequate seating, shared entrance.
