  The taxi ride from the airport to the hotel was not a pleasant start to our stay in Sydney. A $40. ride turned out to be $77., but when arriving at the hotel the clerk was very nice and friendly and the rooms were available early, with all our baggage that was most appreciated. Restaurant, which was closed the night I arrived, gave me some cereal and milk as I was very hungry and it was after 10pm. I would stay there again if I travel to Auckland. We stayed our last night here before flying out of Aukland and were able to leave our bags behind the secured bar for several hours while heading out to spend our last day in the city. With the first micro brewery in Aukland, and the incredible old architecture of the building it's worth spending a night here whether it's your first, last or for a few days in Aukland.
