We had our room upgraded to one of the newer suites. We are so thankful for that. It was amazing - especially the shower!!! Coffee was great, selection of teas also. Comfort all round. OUTSTANDING. Better than the inner city hotels we have stayed in. Excellent value for money, we will definitely be back and will definitely recommend. We stayed in a studio unit - basic (no cooking facilities just jug and coffee/tea) but it had all it needed for an overnight stay. The room was clean (if a little dated) and roomy enough for two of us. it was close to the motor way but we couldn't hear anything. Easy to find and (very good for auckland) free on-site parking.

Close enough to amenities and having the restaurant was exactly what we needed instead of having to go out we could basically hibernate. Upon arriving we were upgraded to a brand spanking new deluxe apartment. It was exceptionally clean and still had the brand new smell. State of the art facilities in every aspect. Staff very friendly,even got free wifi daily for an hour. The receptionist was very friendly. Very clear with instructions as to where our room was & where we could park. I would highly recommend Best Western to all my families n friends in Australia & in New Zealand. Excellent staff , ! Great sized room, clean and did not have budget copy prints all round the walls. Staff were nice, friendly and accommodating. location for the work I was doing in MT. Wellington. That we only had one night!!. That we were unable to extend our stay due to travel plans. only 1 chair at desk noise from road at night. The basin in the bathroom was cracked. Cleanliness was a little below the rest of the stay. Room (17) starting to look a little tired. Lack of air flow through room. No free wifi Pool not open. No free wi-fi in the room. Only one sausage for breakfast. kids were looking foward to swimming in pool, wasn't told at time of booking pool was out of order. The food - my salt and pepper squid was undercooked. my duck was woefully overdone , although the accompanying veggies and sauces were good. Couldn't work out how to use the heating. nothing. Being unexpectedly woken by a clock alarm in the room at midnight. Had ants in the room. No pool. That the pool was closed. bit noisy as was full, also parking is a bit tight. Paid for in room WiFi but didnt work most of the time. The news paper was rubbish but that is not their fault. Noise, coped with vehicles but the yelling conversation outside office through the night was not ok. Key is a struggle to use to unlock door, even for staff so one wonders why its not been fixed. Service was just ok. The outside of the whole complex needs a thorough water blast. It looks dated and unloved. The internet map to find the place was not adequate. Coming from the Panmure direction, the complex was impossible to find with no signage until you took a gamble and went down an unlikely looking road. I was left pool towels....... no pool to use!!. very noisy--window latches didn't pull any of the windows shut properly which also made it very cold.
