There is also a wide selection treatments including massages, facials, manicure and pedicure. The boulevard next to the hotel boasts several cafés, casino's and a cinema. The Hague's city centre is perfect for shopping and can be reached within 15 minutes. The city also offers cultural activities, such as a visit to the Gemeentemuseum and the Mauritshuis.

The hotel property itself is very nice, almost intimidating in the luxury it presents from a bygone era of elegance. Very poor service one day, which was totally at odds with the rest of the visit. Hotel bags were on display in the window, but not obtainable and Sunday day manager apparently did not feel it was his job to sort out a missing key. That's not a 5 star hotel behavior. These are trivial issues, however. Spa and Wellness is not owned by the hotel and you have to pay separately.Shower could have been a bit stronger and I asked whether a room with sea view was available (checked in late) and it was but I still had to pay the extra eur 40. It would have been real customer service if they said: we have a room available, it will not sell anymore, I will upgrade you... One of the restaurants (Kandinski) was closed, that we heard so much about. That was a shame. Otherwise none.Not possible to have dinner inside the hotel since the complete staff was working for the guests eating outside on the terras that made a reservation. Their is no space around the hotel, its totally surrounded with other buildings. But that's just the way it is in Scheveningen i guess.Carpetfloors. beds were too hard, price of breakfast is very high (compared to the price of diners). lack of swimmingpool/sauna in such a luxurous hotel and staffing during breakfast too poor.
