We really enjoyed the swimming pool at the hotel. Also the breakfast was very good with a wide choice! It is very nearby the city center and good restaurants too. Clean hotel, great service, definately deserves 4 star rating, convienient location.Very friendly and helpful staff. Large room that was well furnished. The facilities/courtesy of staff. Within walking distance of city centre.

Curtains cover the front of the radiators unless you make the effort to force them behind (not easy). A waste of good heating energy. parking was a proble, you have to pay from 9 AM in the mroning, but you can only pay with a Dutch Chipcard, no possibility to pay with money.The beds were too soft. The shower was not hinged to he wall securely. The hotel is very run-down and in need of a major overhaul. The breakfast was poor and there are no coffee or tea making facilities in the rooms. There are no restaurants nearby to walk to and the bar is not open every evening. The parking machines do not take cash. Don't book a room with breakfast included - it is free. I would not recommend this hotel at all.Bathroom was very dated, room rather basic for a 4 star , not Deluxe at all for the price. One Reception staff rather abrupt when I asked for tea making stuff. No decent tea in breakfast. I was amazed to see that such interior still exists in these times. The last time I saw a bathroom like this, was when I bought an old house and immediately wanted to change the bathroom. The interior (includings beds, tv, etc) was very outdated and requires a significant refurbishment.Very low hospitality at check-in. Very unfriendly also heared from other guests. Furthermore, rooms are very old fashioned ('60 revival), but clean. Their is no reastaurant in the hotel,. appalling state of maintenance, poor room facilities for a 4 star hotel, unhelpful staff, not interested in our feedback and no feedback procedures offered even on request.

Travelling information

The hotel is positioned next to the Waalbridge on the main road to Arnhem (A325) and Kleve/Germany (N325).

From Central Station:
- take bus number 8 for Berg en Dal and exit at "Mr. Franckenstraat" which is beside the hotel.

By car from Arnhem:
- Follow the A325 motorway for Nijmegen and continue over the Waalbridge.
- Turn right and follow signs for Kleve and at the curve in the road turn right. The main entrance is around the corner.

By car from Utrecht:
- Follow the A12 motorway for Arnhem then the A50 for Nijmegen.
- Take the Kleve / Bemmel exit and follow signs for Nijmegen (A325).
- See further directions from Arnhem.

From Rotterdam:
- Follow the A15 for Gorinchem and take the exit for Nijmegen / Kleve (A325). See further directions from Arnhem.

From the 1st of July 2007 parking nearby our hotel is only possible with a chip - card.
These cards can be bought at the city shop of Nijmegen, Marienburg 75 or if available at the front desk of the hotel.
The costs are € 1,20 per hour and is charged from Monday until Saturday and shopping Sunday from 09.00 until 18.00 Hrs and at shopping evening (Thursday) until 21.00 Hrs.
