Handy to the train station and to our son and daughter-in-law's home. Well-appointed room with everything we could want, including free internet connection and extra pillows. Staff was so friendly and nice to us. We were very pleased and hope to return again. friendly efficient staff get treated well whenever we visit. Centre of town and very confortable. staff friendly.

Yes , myself and another party member had trouble with door keys losing the stored data then not allowing room entry, until one had returned to the desk to have the key recoded. This is a minor but irritating inconvenience.no air con in room which made sleep very diffocult. On arriving we had to spend some time waitng for an empty reception desk.Poor breakfast - not worth the extra cost. Breakfast did not seem to be restocked and resulted in very littlechoice. Tables were not set or cleaned before or after use.Too crowded when arriving, food buffet remainders in the lobby, staff distracted by what was going on. The hot items at breakfast were not replenished once finished. No placesor cutlery set at breakfast.Poor amneties in room!. The lack of a minibar in the rooms.Few ameties in the roon. No mini bar.

Because of activities in the centre of Hengelo, we advise you to enter Hengelo via the A35 Hengelo-Zuid, in stead of using exit Hengelo on the A1. Via the A35 Hengelo-Zuid you will reach the hotel without any (planed) road works.

From the A1, follow A35 Hengelo Zuid/ Enschede

Exit at Hengelo-Zuid / Twentekanaal / Haaksbergen (exit 27). Turn left at the end of the exit.
Stay in this street, Haaksbergerstraat, keep driving in the direction of Centrum (=centre).
Continue the street until the Oelerweg, continue driving on this street. You will drive past the TIO College.
Turn right at the 2nd traffic light, and go straight ahead at the roundabout. Continue the road, follow the bend. Turn left at the traffic lights under the viaduct.
Follow the bend to the right (Beursstraat).
Turn left at the first street. At your left hand side you will see Eden Start Hotel

2. From Enschede Centre

Follow the Hengelosestraat direction Hengelo.
This street turns into the Enschedesestraat.
Go straight ahead at the 1st and 2nd traffic lights.
Then, follow the bend to the left and turn right at the first street.
