The facilities were really great, especially for a winter weather day, the sauna and swimming pool were extremely relaxing. We had one dinner at the restaurant and the food was excellent and very reasonably priced. Room and bathroom were large and clean.The large rooms in a rural setting was a treat. The food was excellent and the pool and sauna exceptional.

All of the the hotel staff were very friendly and always helpful. Our room was modern and clean and the hotel facilities were excellent to enjoy a relaxing break. The restaurant food was very good and the buffet breakfast was comprehensive and good value.Beautiful hotel, kind staff. everything. good value for money (we got a nice weekend deal), sauna very nice, reasonably sized and clean rooms (with nespresso machine), very friendly staff with very good service, breakfast ok. for dinners we went to the next town (Exloo, 10min by bike). Services available specially as I had Kid with me. service and a lot of things to do. Appointments were excellent. The Facilities. The housewine at the restaurant could be better.Statues and ornaments over the top. the minibar pices were far too excessive.2 twin beds instead of double bed. This is totally not confortable for couple, you always fell a "hole" in the middle of the bed. The extractor fan (afzuigsystem?) in the room does not switch off so it was very difficult to sleep. There is also a light switch attached to the bed which has an internal glow light (I guess so that you can see it in the dark). This also stays on all night making it even more difficult to sleep. They are little things but customers having very little sleep is not good for the hotels reputation.Compared to the rest of the hotel the rstaurant was very poor. it is 5-star, but not very posh or classy though. expect to be there with middle class couples/families on weekend breaks.Extra Bed for Kid was added in room that was small. Staff needs training and management is terrible. Dirty (really dusty), no replacement of tissues and toilet rolls, confusion about breakfast - they tried to charge for a non inclusive breakfast, quality of the meal from room service - worst I've ever seen. Lack of meal options.
