The staff where very friendly, helpful and accepting. I am not used to staying in such a good quality hotel, I am not on a high income,but i was treated with care and respect. The evening meal choices meant i could have the choice of different budget menus with the same quality of the food and the service was extremly good. The views out of the large dinning window were relaxing and the spacious room produced a nice comfortable feeling. I liked the well fitted en suite and the plentiful supply .
all reviews » While the room showed some age it was clean and comfortable. The setting was great with gardens, forest, fountain and horse activites nearby. Free parking in open parking lot. Staff very friendly and helpful, location good, food very good a little pricey. I would reccomend this hotel, but not the room I had, it should not be offered to public. They showed me where we could park in order to plug in our Tesla Model S to charge overnight... very helpful! The location was also very nice with gardens all around. Surroundings, buildings, facilities, staff, atmosphere, quiet nights and beautiful room (in "landgood"). Good breakfast! Friendly staff. Beautiful surroundings. The mattress was a little well slept on and the water tempreture in the shower varied a couple of times. It would have been nice to have a kettle in the room, to make myself a drink in the evening. Dinner at the resturant was a little pricy. Room was not as described it was in the attic and was not small, it was miniscule. To see out of skylight at gardens needs a ladder. No skylight in bathroom only one dim light. Kept bumping head on eaves of roof. Very poor air circulation, no a/C. Room was not in house shown on photograph, most rooms and reception in annex building. no problems. No heat in the bathroom, despite the -2 C degrees outside. Rooms are too basic and needs an update. Restaurant expensive. Old rooms and old facilities. room was grubby with large cobwebs. could do with a serious update, or at least a coat of paint. Old stained bedside furniture. room 25 in the manor house should not be offered. none of the windows could be opened. they were permanently closed. impossible to stay in it, especially in this high temperatures. mirror too smal and to low on wall.purple and black theme not very attractive. could not sleep because of noise from fairground nearby, which had not been mentioned when booking the date of stay. if I had been told about this fair we would not have stayed.
