The staff was wonderful. Can't say enough about them. The food in therestaurant was the best kept secret on the island. It was 5 star qualityfood and the service was great.The superior room was very comfortable and the wellness bath helped us perfectly to recover after our walks along the cold and stormy beach :-). This needs to be revised.Only one thing: The mattress in the bed was much too soft so that we – who have a “history” with our spinal disks – had backache and the sleep was less restful.The view from the chamber was depressing.A bit economic on the soap in the room. Thw wireless in our room was not working.

Restaurant Wambinge is open from Wednesday to Saturday.

Getting to Greenside Hotel
The boat to Texel leaves Den Helder every hour from 6.30 to 21.30. On Sundays and holidays, the first boat departs 2 hours later. For information about extra scheduled trips, check Teletext page 723.

On Texel
When you leave the boat, you will be on the Pontweg. Follow the signs to De Koog. Once in the village, continue straight ahead. At the junction in the centre, take the road on the right. You are now on the Nikadel. After passing the petrol station, you will see Greenside hotel in front of you. There is parking next to the hotel.

By bus
The bus travels from the ferry harbour in the direction of De Koog. If you get off of the bus at the bus stop on Nikadel, you can easily walk to Greenside Hotel.
