Excellent location, in a nice quiet area but still close to everything. You felt like you were living as a local. Lovely view of the canal and ideal for visiting Anne Frank House. Booked in at a cute antique shop and check out was really simple, just posting keys through the letter box. Staff were very welcoming and the fridge in the room was a very useful addition!. Big thanks to Paul and Sean for this exellent accomodation in a quiet and cosy place almost in the heart of Amsterdam! This guesthouse was so friendly, peaceful and marvelous so we would try to get it next time for sure!.
all reviews » The apartment was very nice and big, with all the facilities and located in a nice quarter. There was lots of bars, restaurants and a good supermarker near by. All the touristic atrattions are easy to reach. i have nothing bad to say about this place! too cute too cool and right in the center of everything. will come back and definitely recommend to everyone staying in the city!!. The apartment was large and very well equipped with an amazing location. Lively area yet quiet at night. We almost believed we were living there!. Nice location in the centre of the town near central railway station (10 min walking), nice view,well-appointed room, friendly staff. The staff was helpful and understanding in moving us to another apartment, once we told them the first space wasn't appropriate. No rooms left at the guesthouse so stayed at a private flat. Table we could sit at. The website was misleading and we were led to believe there were twin room options when there were none. It was impossible see which room you were booking. Led to us having to share a double bed (fortunately my friend and I have known eachother a very long time). It was a little noisy from upstairs, walls and floors a bit thin. With my height of 192 it was funny to enter a door half smaller. That was not uncomfortably, more lovely). It would be better that the towels were exchanged often.. nothing. Everything was ok. Dutch stairs are always a challenge. &Quot;ancient" towels. The first apartment we were offered was extremely cold and we had a tough first night. It also had a bathroom/kitchen combo in the middle of the room, which were poorly isolated from each other or the room. Room was a bit small and sparse without a nightstand or writing desk/table. we are stayt under first floor... No wifi connection as advertised but proprietor solved it next day. A bit of lack of privacy since owner laundry machines (not for guest use) were right in our bath and shower area and they frequently used them. The only thing we regret is that we needed to leave 3 days earliernand the booking department didnt refund money on our request. Pillows and towels. We were in a basement apartment and it was very stuffy and warm. room not at location where you register (need to call someone to meet you, then no easy access to staff once you get your room); bathroom (open shower, no curtain, water everywhere); a bit of an awkward layout. Nothing. The fact that we were informed after we booked this guesthouse that "cash is preferred. Credit card payments are subject to a10% surcharge". Stale smell on stare case. The room was neither cute nor comfortable,very small tv screen, too expensive for what it has to offer.
