Location is excellent ...just 5 mins from Central Station ...I had a single room which was fine . Shared bathroom with 5 other guest on the 3rd floor which wasn't too much of a problem . There is a sink in the room so you can wash/ shave in the morning anyway . I paid 125 euros for a Fri Sat night in July which is probably as cheap as you are gonna get in Amsterdam for the Summer weekends. At the end of the day , you will spend most of your time out and about in the city and all you need is som.

But generally the hotel is fine .. couldn't get wifi to work in my room but using the laptop in reception , wifi was fine. Hall ways need lick of paint and new carpets. was like we spected and a litle bit spensive but Amsterdam it is. The reviews on this property were bad. There must be a lot of inexperienced travellers out there as I found this property to be excellent. I had the best nights sleep in Europe. Why - use ear plugs!. The hallways were a little dingy and depressing, but this was a value stay. No coffee other than at breakfast (but only cos i was too lazy to put my shoes on and go to the cage downstairs). No wc or shower in the rooms. The whole hotel was under refurbishing. No wifi in the room, only available at the reception. In the morning, owner will cut off the wifi connection to preventing ppl stay at the reception floor to eat more breakfast. The tv is not working the room. Being renovated - bit of noise / mess from that not en-suite. The price. At the end was more expensive than other Hotels with less services. I was really disappointing. The luggage storage is not free of charge. The breakfast is not good. It's not a hotel, it's a old brothel and was last time renovated probably 100 years ago. I've been in similar hotels in Africa, but for a 6 eur, not for a 65 eur. Dirty, small toilet, small shower, dirty carpets, poorly decorated, scaffolding out front effect view, people working outside your window at 8am while the window don't shut properly or lock. Very outdated. The extra 10% charge for paying with a card. Poor breakfast. Mouse in a room. 1. too noisy. We could not sleep. It should use unsound-wall. 2. we could not control the water between hot and cold since it was broken. Small rooms with small beds. People at reception desk not very friendly.
