I stayed at Kangsar Guest House and can recommend them. It is situated
in Thamel, near all the shops, walking distance from Durbar Square and
others if weather permits. The staff members were absolutely friendly
and helpful overall. The rooms are basic but a person do not need more.

Kangshar Guest House is the place to sleep if you are coming to Kathmandu just for a few days or even for a longer period. We stayed here for 1week and a half and we felt like home. The location is really good, central but not in the middle of all the noise. You have power and internet (slow but it works). They have an amazing and really friendly staff willing to help you with everything. The terrace is great for a sunset beer. We enjoyed pretty much our stay here. Thanks!
