I first stayed here 34 years ago when it was also a fine hotel, but then it was winter and I hadn't appreciated its lovely gardens and fine pool. The hotel is quite elegant, yet utterly informal, located roughly where the older part of town blends with the newer, more affluent area - in a residential street where life goes on around you, but not intrusively so. It is interesting to observ. Good value, friendly staff, great ROOM....it was more like a suite...bar area in one room, then bedroom with a very comfortable bed and big bathroom. Decor had a ton of character..the room made our last night in Morocco and great end to our trip. Staff also very very friendly and accommodating. Absolutely great hotel and staff. Location a bit away from ocean but close to city landmarks, shopping, and restaurants. Breakfast spread extensive. I loved the freshly made Moroccan pastries ( rghayef) cooked in front of me. Definitely will stay there again. The location was excellent, in the middle of town. Staff was very friendly. It takes long tiem for hot water to come, there should be restriction for tv channels for children. I asked for two extra towels and did not have them. They had to work on the window so it would close. Pool closes at 5pm pretty early bu theres no sun at that point anyway. Wifi would not work and we needed it to keep in touch with family and book future accommodation. Noisy rooms. No towels for the pool. Limited restaurant. I wish there had been wifi in the rooms. breakfast. There was no shampoo or bath gel provided and reason given because only 3 star.Hot water took a very long time to come and only dribbling from tap. smoking permitted in restaurant at breakfast. one staff person not polite at Reception but another was very helpful. The breakfast buffet, although large, was the worst food we had during our month stay in Morocco. The breads were tasteless as were the packaged jams and the boiled eggs undercooked. The Internet reception was poor and often disconnected. The reception staff were mixed, although they checked us in early and some were pleasant, none were very helpful. The room was quite cold - the windows had a fairly large gap all the way around the heater just couldn't keep up with the winter conditions. Doors locks were not secure, no inside locks or chains. Rooms and hallways were modest at best. Internet was very slow in the rooms and required sitting out in the public areas. Not confortable beds and quite noisy ( i had a room in front of the road). Reception quite slow. check out time at 12 nothing. food restourant. Hotel is looking extremely tired! Bathrooms are in a right mess!!! They should invest some money in fixing them. Staff - the worst staff ever had!!!Two ladies at the reception hopeless, they did ignored foreigners (if they don't speak French - it was terrible). One of them in our sight led a private telephone conversation!!!We were there between 22 and 24 September 2013! They should be released!. Nothing really but there are better places for the money. size of rooms noisy beds not comfortable. Room design , old bathrooms, the bellman takes long time to bring our luggage. We are a young italian couple who stayed around Marocco for two weeks finding everything wonderful except this Hotel! As soon as we arrived they gave us a twin room instead of a double (as we booked), without changing it. The bathroom was visibly dirty, and the bin was full and foul-smelling!! Following a problem, the staff turned out to be very rude with us.Finally the connection (wi-fi) was very weak!!.
