We stayed for a week at Hotel du Tresor in the Mizrachi room on the ground floor. We arranged to have a taxi pick us up from the airport (15euros) which was worthwhile as it not only saved the hassle of arranging a taxi but it also meant we were met when we got out of the taxi and guided down the various alleys to the Riad itself. all reviews » We stayed in Maison du Tresor -- the annexe: Brahim and Adil were very kind and attentive. This is a tradional Moroccan house, with rooms around a central courtyard, decorated tastefully with traditional Moroccan and some modern treasures -- charming. The White Room was lovely -- simple, quirky, with its own private roof terrace. And piping hot water in en suite. This was excellent value and only 5 minutes walk from central square. The hotel was so friendly amin mostafa mohad and brahim a great team and made our stay easy without any complications.even down to getting an excellant price on the caleche. We ate there the first night and the food was superb and cheap welcome after a long journey.great location in the heart of the medina and they always help you find your way. Be carefull if you book twin room mohammed v as very cosy and small but lovely door into bathroom. This room would not suit tall people.as you have to go in sideways abit other wise room fine. The pollution in the streets and the cockerel that crowed all night - but these were nothing to do with the hotel!. No bar as such, but a small drinks menu. No literature for the traveller, such as maps, trips etc. Little bit noisy outside during the night. We didn't like coming home. Communication with the staff was at times a bit difficult. But when we needed some medical assistance the manager was very helpful and took care of everything. Bit of a drainy smell in bathroom. Having to pay bill in cash meant a few trips to the ATM. Slight confusion when I arrived about there being two different properties; the hotel and the annexe. However, both are equally nice. Could not get the TV to work but as we're were there for only 1 night it wasn't too much of an issue. The ground floor window to my bed. Although frosted glass, a curtain would be nice!. nothing. Danger of falling in pool. The girl on reception was AWFUL. Tried to charge me double for the tourist tax & her people skills were non existant. All the other staff were really lovely, particularly the porter!.
