THE BEST HOTEL EXPERIENCE EVER…..I can’t say enough about the Damas Suites. From the moment I arrived (a bit grumpy if I’m honest) the manager, Richard, leapt from reception with a huge smile to carry my bags in himself. It was like arriving home! The infinity pool is beautiful, great sauna, gym with a lovely view of a water feature and greenery (rare in KL). My studio apartment was well equipped, spotlessly clean throughout, with a big fridge, loads of storage space, a very comfortable bed.
all reviews » Me and my friend stay at the deluxe studio suite. It was a huge room. There was the dining area, a decent kitchenette, and like a divided bedroom area separated with a sliding glass door. Apart From that comes along a spacious balcony event. Ours was facing the Hartamas shopping center. The hotel has a direct link to the Hartamas shopping centre it was real easy for us doing groceries. Our purpose staying at this hotel was to be out of they city area and it's nearer to the places that we wanted. We were particularly impressed with all the staff - in the foyer, the restaurant and everywhere else. The bedroom was spotless and the breakfast was superb. It was also good to have BB World on the TV. The room was very spacious and comprehensively equipped. There's even a washing machine! Walking distance to shopping mall via link bridge is a bonus. Comfortable Washing machine available Kitchen utensils provided (toaster, pot & pan, chopping board etc.) Wardrobes with plentiful storage. Its a winderfull place. Lots of comfort and very nice view. Also many places near. One should not miss this waterfall,very near from danna. The rooms are nice and spacious, suitable for family with kids. Easy access to shopping centre and its value for money to stay here. The room is big and clean. Room facilities complete. Have washing machine also. Location was convenient for me as I need to be in the Mont Kiara area. The second room I was moved to was fantastic (spacious clean and recently renovated). The location of my second room was much quieter and I was able to get much needed sleep. I liked that the rooms were big and spacious, clean and new. I liked the location too. But only one of the concierge he's a Filipino guy. Nice guy showed us the way n direction all very willingly. The fact that the Nice bus driver refused to enter the Damas Suite area on arrival from Penang. We were not prepared to get off the bus on the main road and then have to cross the bridge with our suitcases. In fact he drove on to the Old Railway Station, after which the Nice bus management arranged a special bus for us to return to Damas Suites. The driver this time drove into the Suites area correctly. People manning the concierge was not very friendly. Pillows were very very soft, it made me uncomfortable. There is no sign showing the praying direction (Kiblat) for Muslims and it's quite disappointing since Malaysia is a Muslim country. The room air-cond location is not suitable. Far away from bed. If you close up the bed door air-cond is totally can't get in. Lift to the unit is a bit slow. Staff could offer more information on services such as timing of shuttle bus service, where to get pool towels, any newspapers etc. Or at least provide the info in the room. Pool too shallow Bathroom exhaust fan not working. Not fixed even after feedback. Front desk n the staff need improvement to make the place more beautiful. The breakfast buffet could have more choices. -nil-. Staff At Reception So Poor !. Reception is a bit far from rooms. Lousy coffee. Theres no nearby 24 hour shop. The parking facilities little bit confusing.. have checked in to the hotel couple of times and the last 2 trips wasnt happy because of the smell in the bathroom. The first room I was given was pretty dirty and had a smell of stale cigarettes. The air conditioning leaked water all over the floor and the hot water got to luke warm at best. Cockroaches were found in the bathroom on a few occasions. To discredit this information the management did move me to a much better room when I complained but the first room shouldn't be so neglected in the first place. The hotel is understaffed. 1 man show at the reception though service was good. Unanswered calls for long periods. 1 air con unit is not strong enough to cool such a long room, and in the 2 rooms I occupied, they were not working well. Room is not comfortable Not enoughelectric plugs for extra electronics Staff is incomptentent, I had to wait a long time to be checked in despite arriving on time Reception/front desk did not always answer my phone calls Internet was not functioning 90 percent of the time (they tried to blame my laptop for it) No 24 hour room service Only stay if you hve no other choice. The services/staffs are very. Our rooms' air conditioning and telephone (we stayed 2 nights for 2 rooms) were not working. We'd complained to the front desk but the response was dissappointing. The maintenance personnels came to knock our door at 1130pm, where we'd slept already...besides, when asked where to pay parking tickets/swimming pools facility, the front desk given the wrong information, and answered in a very not willingly manners.... Not having any carpets very cold floor tiles. Sound proof is really lousy. Air-con not function properly. Air-con compressor is really loud. The room lacked basic utensils and crockery such as plates and bowls to enable guests to have a quick breakfast. There were no hangers in the closet and a host of minor inconveniences. The lack of these made my stay somewhat unsatisfactory. As such I checked out after one night thought I had intended to stay longer. The reception (check-in guy) is rude & not professional enough. This is the second time he offended me. Thanks. No shower curatain, bathroom gets wet when showering. Noisy air con. Car park free pass inconvient. No lobby at block B to get car park ticket endorsed. Rooms need a bit more warmth atmosphere. Service of the staff can be improved. We requested for additional toothbrush for 2 days and not delivered until we check out. I requested for a queen size bed but it was a double bed. Air conditioner couldn't be felt in the bedroom. Room very smoky. Requested for non smoking room but end up with smoking room. Parking only 15 min and registration took more than 15 min therefore pay parking for slow service. Actually not so easy to find , must put a clear signboard show direction to the hotel . location. noisy. middle of the nightaround 11pm. sopmeone open door and close door repetitively. Hot water didnot work Toilet has pungent smell. Air-con not sufficient to quickly cool down the spacious room. It took 4 hours for us to feel comfortable. Rooms were in different blocks from the check-in area. Its irritating to walk to the check-in area everytime to use the pool, validate the car park ticket, breakfast, etc .... Slow service for check in and the room is small. Poor attitude of the check-out staff. I was accused of damaging the access card plastic holder which was old and discolored and asked to pay for the damage. The plastic card holder was already in that condition when I received it. Very poor Damas Suites signage from main road, reception and also parking. Breakfast with very limited choice and not value for money. The air-conditioning indoor unit is above the door way to washroom, the bed is far away as the tv hall sandwich between. The air-con outdoor compressor unit is just next to the bed, a bit disturbing by the noise. the pillow and mattress are bad. the body shampoo and hair shampoo and supply everyday.
