Excellent location, quiet, very clean room and bathroom. We stayed in a double room (with ensuite bathroom) on the third floor and it was lovely - the room wasn't very big, but it was spacious enough for two people (+a table, a chair, a night stand, a place for clothes, a comfortable bed) and it had a window with enough natural light. The room was very clean, quiet and sunny. The shower in the bathroom was good, no complaints. I can hardly believe this place has such a low evaluation here on le.
all reviews » Lavender Lodge stands out for the service of its staff members. They were very helpful and gave tips on sight seeing tours. The rooms are very basic but the good thing is that the fan can be left on which was a boon for us to dry our clothes inside the room (considering there is no balcony). Overall a great one for a basic backpacker. There is a huge cluster of seafood restaurants opposite which is a great plus to this Lodge. Helpful and pleasant staff. Closeness to the city and shops. The cleanliness of the building, especially the floors. The exterior puts surrounding buildings to shame. Very clean sheets and towels daily. We liked the very tasty bananas and watermelon that they provided for breakfast. We took advantage of the available lockers we could use for storage of valuables and the refrigerator for storing food. Staff was very very friendly, she help us to reserved a taxi for going to the airport at 4am and before she preparated our breakfast (breakfast start at 7). central location, friendly staff. Location is good as it located at most of the shopping area whereby we are able to reach by walking, price is quite reasonable ....... Staffs were nice and room was clean. There were tables and chairs for dinning at the lobby. The breakfast was just two pieces of toast, one type of jam, a small cup of tea and some bananas. The staff in the hotel were very friendly and helpful, but the girl who was serving the breakfast wasn't very nice. Let's hope she was just having a bad day. Nothing much apart from the breakfast which was the same 2 slices of bread and watermelon everyday. We had a very small en suite in 205. The toilet was so close to a wall that my knees were pressing hard against the wall, even when I splayed my knees apart. The floor was wet from a plumbing leak so it meant that we got wet feet every time we visited the toilet. However we were happy to use the shower and toilet in the passageway near our room. Very simple and small rooms, look on the pictures better than they actually are. Not much space to keep the luggage. Staffs are mostly Filipinos and they're lack of knowledge to tell us where about to find good food and how to travel from one destination to another..... I stayed in a double bed room with a bathroom. The room was a bit small. The bathroom looked old.
