Mrs park and Mr Kung are ver friendly and accommodating. They were happy to drive us to and from the bus stop and had up-to-the-minute info on the buses and local attractions. We travelled with elderly parents who appreciated the homely accommodation and small details which made it a relaxing stay. We loved the fact this was a calm retreat from the hustle of the big cities, such a beautiful location. We stayed in the family room and chose to sleep Korean style which was an experience for the ki.
all reviews » Basically all the positive comments I read before booking are just true. I've travelled quite a lot and I don't remember many other places so welcoming and with such helpful and nice hosts as Mrs. Park. My visit to Gyeongju was thanks to all her advise and help a very nice holiday. About the distance to the city, one must know that in Gyeongju all the big hotels are also outside this small city and actually farther than this pension. For that price, the room (I had the Deluxe one I think it was called) was the biggest and most confortable I ever had. The service was perfect. I broke my glasses on my trip and the owner, even though she was handling breakfast, drove me personally to an optician who made me urgent repairs almost for free! The possibility to get a bike for free at any time was also a very good plus. Super friendly staff with ok English. They offered free car ride to the bus stop and to the Bomun Lake. The guy actually drove us around the lake and waited in the car for us to take our wedding photos with the cherry blossum! They also let you borrow their bikes for free and it is very nice to ride around the lake. I think Mrs Park more than makes up for whatever it's lacking in Gyeongju. Sometimes, the pension is so comfortable that I just want to stay indoors and watch TV. To be honest, there's not really much to see in Gyeongju, and if you come during summer, you probably won't want to leave this house. The hosts were very friendly, helpful and kind to us. They went out of the way to help us with anything we asked them. Riding their bikes around the temples was a great experience! The service was amazing and my friends and I had a wonderful stay there. True Korean hospitality!. Mrs park is very nice and helpful, always offer free transfer to the bus stop in the morning. The pension is located at a quiet place but is quite convenient. Sometimes we had problemes in talking, cause staff speak korean and know not so much in english. But it wasn't a really big probleme. Everything that we needed was done. Hospitality of Mr. &Amp; Mrs Park, good advise re travel arrangement. very nice and friendly owner. The wifi connection wasn't very strong. A lot of the time it didn't work at all. There was a bit of leaking in the toilet and the place was kind of difficult to get to since there is no subway stations. Getting around in Gyeongju by bus without knowing Korean is a little difficult. The location is my main gripe definitely, because I was travelling in winter, and it was awefully cold at night. But then again, that really has nothing to do with this pension. As I said, Mrs Park's warm hospitality, and her willingness to go the way for you makes up for any negatives. It's not convenient to find a supermarket nearby. At first thought it may be a bit far off the main Center, but soon found everything was very accessible by taxi or bus. We did not have a car so relied on other transport. The wifi wasn't working for my friends and I. 15 minute walk to the bus stop, BUT scenery on walk was interesting - walked past rice being harvested, vegetable crops, authentic rural Korea. Bed was a little to hard for my liking. Little bit hard to find the location. A bit far from city and sights. traffic getting around, bus service not as accurate with the time. a bit far from city centre. A little bit far from bus station. Better to rent a car for traveling around. Wifi is not working as promised. No twin beds.
